La Casetta I Gelsi is located just a few steps from beautiful Cortona, where the hillside slopes down to beautiful vineyards and expanses of cultivated countryside. It is a place where you will find tranquillity, sweeping views and sunsets to be enjoyed from your private swimming pool (size m. 4x8, depth m. 1,50 - open from 01st May to 30th September) or from the furnished panoramic terrace, where you can also enjoy dinner, a barbecue and a good glass of wine.
The house is perfect if you are travelling as a couple, as it will seem like a small, intimate treasure chest of peace and tranquillity, or even with your children, who can play freely in the large fenced outdoor area. Pets are also welcome (extra charge could be required).

You will reach Cortona, perched on a high hill, in 5 minutes by car. We can assure you that the town is absolutely not to be missed, small cobbled alleys, stairways leading up among the stone houses, ancient palazzos, churches, museums, panoramic terraces and a view that fades over the entire valley below, even granting a small glimpse of Lake Trasimeno on a clear day. Famous is the sunset that can be enjoyed from the parterre gardens.
In Cortona and Camucia below you will find all kinds of services, shops, points of sale for typical products, supermarkets and countless restaurants where you can enjoy Chianina meat, cheeses and fantastic local wines.
From the house you can also comfortably walk to a restaurant (300 metres) and a small grocery shop (1 km), where you can find fresh bread and basic necessities every day.
For those who enjoy walking, the property stretches for several kilometres among the vineyards. We assure you that walking among the green rows of vines, among the characteristic bright light green leaves, will be a relaxing experience, away from the hectic everyday life that you will cherish with the memories of your holiday at Casetta I Gelsi.
