About this chalet rental
An Andalusian-style farmhouse, nestled on a property with organic olive groves and Mediterranean woodland in the heart of the Sierra de Hornachuelos Natural Park—perfect for family hikes— with a privileged location—a veritable balcony situated on the border between the Sierra Morena and the Vega del Guadalquivir—offering views not only of these landscapes but also of the Bembézar Reservoir and the white houses of the town of Hornachuelos.
The unique architecture of the property is one of its strengths, though what stands out most are the views from its terraces, the bedrooms, and, of course, the two observation decks atop the tower (Starlight Reserve Area), in addition to offering intimacy and privacy while still being close to the town (1.3 km) for shopping or leisure activities.
It features 4 spacious bedrooms (3 of them in the tower, suite-style with private bathrooms), a large open-concept kitchen, a 100 m² living-dining room with a fireplace, a wood storage area, and a small wine cellar lounge, free Wi-Fi with a remote work area, and the entire first floor is fully accessible for guests with limited mobility (ground-floor bedroom, ramps, accessible bathroom, wide doorways and hallways, etc.). Outside, it features free private parking, spacious porches, numerous millstone tables with chairs, a portable barbecue, and a pool area with an automated saltwater pool operational year-round, complete with a covered picnic area, umbrellas, and lounge chairs—and, of course, the best views… What more could you ask for!!!
Excellent transportation links, as it is located 45 minutes from the city of Córdoba (AVE train station, the Mosque, the ruins of Medina Azahara, the Patios, etc.), 1 hour from the city of Seville and its airport, and 2 hours from the city of Málaga, its airport, and the coast.
To complement guests’ stays, Hornachuelos offers the following activities:
- Multi-Adventure Park (canoeing, zip lines, free fall, rock climbing wall, etc.) just 3 km from our lodging.
- Sierra de Hornachuelos Natural Park Visitor Center (museum, picnic area, hiking trails, etc.) just 2 km from our lodging.
- Historic Center of Hornachuelos (walled castle, old inn, religious buildings, hanging houses, old wash houses, numerous viewpoints, etc.) just 2 km from our lodging.
