⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Exceptional Stay – Highly Recommended! Clockwise Guesthouse is a true gem in Gjirokastër. Located in a peaceful, quiet neighbourhood, it is only a short walk to the beautiful Old Bazaar, making it the perfect base for exploring the city. The guesthouse itself is beautifully appointed, spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for a relaxing stay. What truly makes this place exceptional, however, is Joanna. She is the perfect hostess—professional, elegant, knowledgeable, generous, warm, and genuinely passionate about ensuring her guests have the best possible experience. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and she consistently goes above and beyond. As a vegan, I was especially touched by the care Joanna took in preparing the most delicious homemade vegan meals for me, all included in the price of my stay. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made me feel incredibly welcome. She also kindly collected me from the bus station and took me back when I left, refusing to charge anything for either trip. On top of that, she arranged wonderful day trips for me at a fraction of the price I had been quoted elsewhere. Joanna truly spoiled me throughout my stay with her kindness, generosity, and attention to detail. I felt more like a welcomed friend than a guest. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of my stay and would not hesitate to recommend Clockwise Guesthouse to anyone visiting Gjirokastër. It offers the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, outstanding hospitality, and exceptional value. I will definitely stay here again if I return to Albania.

The breakfast was amazing especially with the stunning view

The location : 15-min walk from the historic center of Gjirokastër + an amazing view from the balconies the host : Joana was welcoming and reactive when sent messages. I really appreciated that she sent us videos to show the beat way to access the lodging and the touristy sites. The breakfast included in the room was a feast ! So delicious

Fantastic location where you can have breakfast at sunrise and a beer at sunset, overlooking the valley and castle. Comfortable/clean room with the most welcoming family. Local delights cooked in house but round the corner also happens to be the best family run restaurant.
