Flat 2, St Agnes House

Comfortable, clean and well equipped. Well situated for our needs. Close to lovely Tapas restaurant (Fennel) and River Cottage Cafe was a short drive away.

Bit of a musty smell in the flat. Chest of drawers inside the wardrobe smelt of mould. Furnishing a bit utilitarian. Could do with a refurb eg bathroom and kitchen floors. Photo of the bathroom was not of the one in the flat.

Getting tired - could be amazing

Fairly easy, as expected

- Parking space is missing - you need to pay an extra £16 per day and walk up the hill to the pay-per-hour parking lot. There is no mention of this in the description of the property. As a difference, our previous stay, last year and the one before offered a certificate that when left in the car gave us free parking. - hot water is another problem. You need to fiddle with the boiler in the cupboard in order to convince it to start heating. - when we wanted to sleep and needed to extend the sofa in the lounge, it had food, cereals and lots of hair from previous customers on the mattress that wasn't cleaned by the cleaner/owner. - the windows are not double glazed and the noise from cars on the street is really loud, it wakes you up. Plus, at 7 in the morning there was loud noise from a building site across the road, they were repairing/building a wall. There is no way to communicate with anyone unless you wait for a few days for them to write back.
