Renaissance New York Harlem Hotel

From the moment we arrived in nyc it was 100 degrees which is great we enjoy the heat, however theater lobby smelled like sewage, and a floral glade scent our kids were always while arriving and departing “hold your breath”. In our rate was breakfast, however with the smell I was to concerned with precautionary cross contamination, possible ecoli the restaurant was in the main lobby and the smell traveled up we refrained and ate out instead. On our first evening, we had showered the kids to find out that not one but two bottles of shampoo and conditioner were empty. It was just little things like a maid knocked swift and fast and enetered our room it was in the day but still a little startling. I think my daughter had to pay for internet, which was a fee, a fee here, there… back to the theater lobby, that poor gentleman sitting close to the door in 100 degree weather and sewage smell I honestly felt sorry for him. I didn’t see a bellman or a dedicated concierge, elevators were jumpy and finicky. There was another newer hotel, I’ll try that next time. Renaissance Harlem was good but I’ll pass next time. By the way 2nd time staying. And the last time. Sorry. We were in 1902 July 1-6

Fantastic location Good hotel Definitely will be back

It wasn’t the best location. Sirens most of the night. Far from all the tourist location.

No privacy, I could hear my next door neighbors loud noises and smell their fumes. Receptionists are friendly but are not knowledgeable enough about their booking system and cannot answer questions.
