The front desk is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break, and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Closed on Sundays and holidays.
As this is a predominantly commercial area, when stores close—which is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00/7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00/4:00 p.m.— the downtown streets are almost deserted. Twenty meters from the condo, two bars stay open until 8:30 p.m./9:00 p.m., and taxis are available until then. At night, on Sundays, and on holidays, the neighborhood streets—though they may feel a bit unsettling because they’re deserted—are safe thanks to 24-hour surveillance by security guards stationed at every intersection, paid for by local merchants to protect the stores.
At night, after 9:00 PM and until 7:00 AM, to get to places or return to your apartment, I recommend using a taxi app or Uber just for peace of mind.
The two main subway lines, which can take you to the main beaches in just a few minutes, are Line 1 (Uruguai, Tijuca – Jardim Oceânico, Barra de Tijuca) and Line 2 (Pavuna – Botafogo), which operate Monday through Saturday from 5 a.m. to midnight and on Sundays and holidays from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The complex does not have parking; you can park on the side streets (it’s very difficult to find a spot during the day) and at several nearby paid parking lots. The road leading to the complex is not accessible to cars.

SAARA (Society of Friends of the Areas Adjacent to Rua da Alfândega)
Located in the historic center of Rio de Janeiro, Pólo Saara is considered the largest open-air shopping center in the state. Comprising eleven streets in the vicinity of Rua da Alfândega, it is home to over 800 stores, most of which cater to the general public. The area was originally settled by immigrants of various nationalities in the late 19th century, who set up small businesses to support their families. The historic architecture of the shops that make up the Pólo is still preserved, maintaining the same appearance as in that era. The area is considered the Mecca of affordable shopping and features a variety of stores selling clothing, toys, souvenirs, and even official Rio 2016 merchandise. The Pólo is located near several tourist attractions, such as Campo de Santana, the Candelária Church, the State Park Library, ...
