Our review of this property is mixed. With some TLC it could easily be improved. This is a great location, lounge had a good mix of chairs, cushions, throws. Dining room also fine for our needs. Heating good and easy to operate. Throughout the house the decoration is lovely. The beds were very comfy and great that 6 of them could be made into singles, however the main bedroom (4 poster bed) doesnt have a wardrobe even though there is ample space to site one. As 6 women and 1 man we were slightly concerned about having only 2 bathrooms but in reality this turned in to 1 usable one as the top floor toilet and shower had very low water pressure and the toilet did not flush properly so had very limited use. The kitchen wasn't the best. The drawers in the freezer cant properly open as they hit the steps into the kitchen, the oven door doesn't shut properly so things took longer to cook, and there is no dishwasher so pots for up to 8 people on holiday became quite a job. There is a 2nd fridge so this space could be changed to accommodate a dishwasher instead. There was a nice range of glasses however only 6 of something like champagne flutes so again not enough for 8 adults that wanted to celebrate together. Some attention to detail is needed for practicality of use, like a chair in front of the wardrobe, wardrobe doors in another room that wont stay closed, bedroom door that doesn't shut etc. Lastly there was no prior mention until after we had booked of a flat below the house owned by the same owner. The weather was gorgeous and we had aimed to sit outside on our first afternoon/evening (as advertised!) but there is extensive work being done on the flat downstairs and that outside area is just full of rubble, wood etc and no sign of anything to sit on. Over the weekend we were aware that some work was being done there but this was quiet, however, on the Monday morning this was exceptionally noisy and started very early, about 7.30.
