Stunningly beautiful house with amazing views, home comforts, super clean and cosy

This house is absolutely beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice. It was immaculately clean, very spacious with a lovely, modern kitchen. The host had kindly left us cake and milk which was a lovely touch. The house was warm and cosy, in a great location with stunning views over the beach. The town itself was spotlessly clean and everyone we met was extremely friendly. We have been doing these weekends away as a group of friends for over 13 years now, Yorkshire, the Lakes, Scarborough, Whitby and this was by far one of the, if not the best place we have ever stayed. A beautiful home & the contact with the owner was fantastic. We are all hoping to return with separately with our families and would definitely come back her again for our annual ladies weekend.

Superb Christmas getaway

The property was superb. The view was stunning, a joy to wake up to each morning. The house is very well equipped - a lot of thought has gone into ensuring it is comfortable and welcoming. We had a family party of 7 and the house accommodated us all easily, with room to spare. The host is very helpful and responsive too. The property is immaculate, sympathetically renovated and was perfect for our Christmas getaway.

Can’t think of anything. To get the superb view, there is a steep path and steps up to the property but the host has thoughtfully put a handrail and sensor lights along the path. It is just something to be aware of, if any member of the party has mobility issues. The view and the house are absolutely worth it though.

Lovely comfortable stay in a lovely house with a stunning view!

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely house in Borth-y-Gest. Full of characterful features, it felt both homely and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The log burner added a cosy touch in the evenings, and the beds were extremely comfortable—perfect after a day exploring the area. The house is well-equipped with everything you might need, and the views over the water bay are absolutely stunning. It’s also ideally located for trips to Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), making it a great base for walkers and nature lovers. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and scenic getaway with plenty of charm

Fantastic family holiday!

Beautiful house with a beautiful view, the house feels homely and decorated to a lovely standard, the kitchen literally has everything we needed plus more. The owners of the property were kind enough to send me a message to ask if everything was OK (which it was) and gave us plenty of information in our welcoming pack. We would stay here again in the near future, the property worked perfectly for us as a big family.

Loved it!

I loved the location of the property, overlooking the beach which was lovely to wake up to. I loved how homely it felt whilst I was there with my family. Like a home away from home. Jane was great to deal with and the paperwork provided is very thorough. Me and my family had such a nice time!

There’s nothing I didn’t like really. The steps / hill leading up to the house were tiring but ok! Though probably not the best for someone with mobility issues which luckily none of us had! :-)

I liked everything. There was a short but steep path up to the front door. Not a problem for us but something to be aware of. The result was a beautiful elevated and uninterrupted view of the bay.

Watching the tide roll away...

We went as a family group, a mixture of 4 adults, 3 children. The accommodation is very comfortable, a really good size for us all - and the views were just mesmerising! The tide coming in and out is a sight to behold. The house is in an excellent location with Porthmadog just a short walk away (0.5 miles). The beach path walks were so quaint and beautiful. Facilities within the property were also very good. Access is up a wee lane and some steps so might be a struggle for some visitors if they have very small children or mobility issues. It was a present to my nieces that we went and visited Zip World (Betws-y-Coed) and as a result we only stayed for 3 nights and it just wasn't long enough! The drive to Betws-y-Coed was stunning! We're already booked into this accommodation again. Really lovely communication with the owner, Jane, who is very accommodating. Looking forward to our return visit!

An idyllic location to experience sea/sand and beautiful scenery

Location! Amazing views. The property is spotless and has everything you need.we spent the weekend here with family, 7 plus 2 dogs. Plenty of space to accommodate us all, 2 lounges, one with games and a console to entertain the kids, and large lounge for spending time together. All beds so comfortable.plus the tea, coffee, milk, and cakes were a lovely touch The welcome pack emailed by Jane was the most comprehensive I have ever seen, perfect if you don't know the area. There are steps and a steep path to the property but that's the price for the spectacular views, and this was made clear before booking. Take the coastal path towards Black Rock sands, and 20 mins takes you to spectacular beaches.

Perfect quiet spot with exceptional views

Amazing views in a very quiet location over the bay opposite Portmerion. The cottage is beautifully equipped and very comfortable with plenty of space to relax. An amazing base to explore the area or just stop and relax.

Spotlessly clean, an excellent location, lovely house. Everything you could possibly require, including tea towels, washing up liquid, hand soap, hairdryers, towels, all bedding .even loo rolls in the 3 loos! Our family had a fab stay and will definitely be staying again..

Exceptional place to relax and unwind

Clean, comfortable and great location near the sea. Everything provided in the property to make your stay easy. Parking close to the property. Great morning views of the bay. Nice and friendly hosts. Close to Snowdonia National Park and a great beach mins away (Harlech beach)
