A Bit of Blue Skies

The views over the caldera from this cave home’s terrace in Oia are stunning. There are not one, but two Jacuzzis to relax in, one indoors and one outdoors with incredible vistas, while inside, the décor is classic and charming. A few things to note, we’d say – the wifi can be a bit patchy, especially towards the back of the house. Also, you don’t get a sunset or sunrise view, but the vistas are fabulous even without them and it’s just a few minutes’ stroll to a sunset vantage point in the town. In fact, the location is ideal as you can walk to boutiques, restaurants and bars. Home truths: *There's parking here in a secure lot closeby *Guest seven would be on a sofa bed in the living room – if you're looking for a home with ample space for socialising, we'd recommend this home for six guests only *There are steep stairs to climb here (but your lovely hosts are often able to carry your bags for you) *At full capacity, there could be a queue for the one bathroom *The main bedroom is on a mezzanine open to the main living space *This is a cave house, so it does echo a bit *Slippers are provided, so there's no need to pack your own *Pool towels are provided *There's a daily maid service *Though there isn't a dedicated desk here, the dining table doubles up as a laptop-friendly workspace
