Bella Vista Premium Homestay

Beautiful, well cared for property. Gorgeous sunrise views from room overlooking sea and Bali. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed. Welcoming family vibe. Lots of common sitting areas overlooking the sea. I saw people order in food to eat at these areas and staff did not seem to mind. Out of the 6 places I stayed at in Surabaya, including a 5* international hotel chain and another one that cost more than 3 times more, this was the only accommodation that provided hand and face towel. My purpose to visit this area was to visit Menjangan and Tabuhan island, so location of this place north of the city suited me fine.

There are many steps required to reach the bedrooms, so not suitable for people who cannot manage stairs well. Location is a bit remote, so can be challenging to order a Grab taxi to go out for dinner. But staff kindly offered to drive us to a close by restaurant and pick us again after we finished. No hairdryer in room, but staff provided one upon request.

The homestay was clean, beautifully decorated, and charming. From our room, we had a direct view of Bali and the ferry crossing at Ketapang Port. The staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. The location was also great, just a 30-minute drive to Baluran National Park, which fit our itinerary perfectly.

There is no elevator. Reaching our room required climbing quite a few stairs—even the staff assisting with our luggage were catching their breath by the time we reached the door.

Le asciugamani erano un po’ ombrate e c’era un buco in uno dei due letti. Non lo abbiamo segnalato perché siamo stati solo qualche ora però sono sicura che il proprietario avrebbe risolto subito se lo avessimo detto.

Nicely located just outside the busy area, some way back from the road so it is quiet at night. The rooms were large and comfortable with nice views across the water to Bali. Staff is very friendly and very helpful.
