What a wonderful stay we had at Villa Kalamos. It has the most marvellous position at the head of Sivota Harbour and the views of the Ithaca and other islands to the south. Each day we watched the boatsgo out of the harbour and come in at night. We have been to Lefkada several times and we are very fussy about views - this villa's views were simply the best and we had the sun on the terraces from early in the morning until 8pm at night (but there was shade for those who wanted it). In addition, the communication with Jerome ahead of time and with Vaso (the best host ever!) throughout our stay meant that every wish of ours was well catered for.
Special mentions - swimming in the small sea bay, away from the path of the boats, down the small path by the villa was a particular highlight as was watching the moon rise every night over the islands. The weather was glorious throughout - and for those who like aircon, the ducted aircon, which was room by room, was excellent when those wanted it needed it! For those travelling with elderly parents as we were the ground floor is completely level except for one shallow step up to the front door - perfect. Paradise.

The villa is in a fabulous spot and you can easily spend hours in the pool just watching the boats coming and going.
The villa itself is spacious but we thought it felt a little tired and we experienced a number of issues during our 7 night stay. We had no WiFi for the first three days; water pressure kept dropping and we had no running water for two evenings; the toilet (when we had water) kept over-filling; some of the decking boards had come loose and were a trip hazard; no working lighters for the BBQ; dishwasher never actually cleaned anything; and no cleaner came, even though that was included in the price.
Vaso, from Lefkada Travel though was lovely, friendly, and very helpful, and I know she had a very difficult job, because on top of everything else, we also lost electricity twice (which I realise was outside of anyone’s control)!
