Vaivén del Viento - 3BR Groundfloor Condo with Pools

We had a wonderful family holiday here and would highly recommend this property. Travelling with our two grown-up children, the three-bedroom layout gave us plenty of space to relax and enjoy time together without ever feeling crowded. That said if you have younger children it would probably be even better The villa was well maintained, comfortable and extremely well equipped plus air conditioning. The kitchen facilities were good, making it easy to prepare meals when we wanted to dine in. The swimming pool facilities were excellent too – we were genuinely spoilt for choice. The local amenities were very convenient. Within a 10–15 minute walk there are a couple of 24-hour convenience stores (OXXO), as well as a lovely bakery, La Brioche, plus a pizzeria and bar nearby. Having these facilities within easy walking distance was a real bonus. We tended to get our food from Walmart which again was a short taxi ride into Playa. Although the beach is a little further away, taxis are inexpensive (typically around 150–200 pesos). We particularly enjoyed visiting the Reef Resort beach area, where we found everyone very welcoming. We'd recommend bringing beach towels to make the most of your day there. The property's location also makes it an excellent base for exploring the Riviera Maya. Playa del Carmen is close by and well worth a visit – we especially enjoyed the Frida Kahlo Museum. We also recommend taking the ferry to Cozumel and pre-booking a snorkelling trip. Other highlights included Sian Ka'an and Xcaret, both of which are must-see attractions and easily accessible from the property. Overall, this was a fantastic place to stay, offering plenty of space, excellent facilities and easy access to some of the best experiences the area has to offer. Luis & Manuel were great to deal with and all the concierges at Vaiven were very friendly and helpful. We would happily return and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.

To be honest there wasn't much we didn't like about Playa Del Carmen though i would say the "Topes"/speed bumps take some getting used to.

El lugar es excelente, y el entorno mejor. La atención del personal muy buena. Se nota que tiene mucho trabajo de mantenimiento y están en el detalle. Las 4 piletas están muy bien, y adicionalmente tenes animales (sereques, ardillas, coaties) circulando por el parque.

Lo que se puede mejorar es brindar una ruta de llegada para aquellos que vamos en auto, fue muy complicado encontrar el lugar dentro del barrio.

Loved the condo and the amenities, wonderful complex - great layout, pool and fantastic gym! Everything was exactly as it was advertised. A bit far from the beach - but easy to walk everywhere!

The furniture in the condo was pretty uncomfortable - was more like a outdoor patio set on the inside, that was really our only complaint.
