Amazing quinta with lovely owners. Very relaxing and welcoming atmosphere, fabulous views on Douro valley and overall comfort exceeded any expectations.

We had an excellent stay at Quinta dos Travassinhos. Located just 10 minutes from Peso da Régua, it’s perfectly situated for exploring the Douro Valley while offering a peaceful retreat. Helena and Ricardo were exceptional hosts, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The food was great, and Johannes Matti made each meal even more enjoyable with his entertaining company and excellent wine recommendations. The facilities, including the pool and spa, were beautifully maintained and ideal for relaxing. A perfect place for a long weekend in the Douro.

From the moment we set foot in this gorgeous property we were treated with such kindness, respect and warmth. They could not do enough to make sure you were looked after and that you were comfortable and enjoying your stay. I would recommend this small piece of paradise to anyone. The grounds, hotel, food, room etc were outstanding.

There was nothing that could be approved. The place is spotless and incredible. The breakfast was the best we’ve ever had, and the dinner at night was delicious and very intimate. John, who served us was patient and kind and taught us so much about port and wine. The grounds and view from the pool took our breath away.
