Excellent layout and facilities. Loved the upstairs kitchen dining and sitting room. Close to Broughton with an excellent Bakers/Cafe, But hers and General Store. Nearby Blacksmiths Inn had amazing food - definitely worth a visit but book beforehand as it gets busy even on weekdays. Would happily stay again.
En-suite toilet small but functional. Not a problem.

Didn’t like all the work going on outside the front door which we were not told about

It was lovely and big inside and very clean

It was extremely spacious and very well equipped.
We were genuinely surprised by the size of the living areas.
We were out all day Saturday and it was a lovely space to relax.
No Instructions for heating as it was initially very cold the first evening.
Also TV instructions would have been helpful.
The heating only came on on the Sunday morning as we were leaving

Comfortable, clean , nicely furnished property. Very spacious with everything you needed for a comfortable stay.
Good communication from host Angus.
Pans could do with replacing & a get you in pack would have been a nice personal touch.

It's very easy, there is a lockpad in front of the door, and I received the message from the host and got the keys.

The flat was very spacious and had a nice view of an old cottage across the road. Everything was clean with nice modern fixtures and appliances. Although the flat is right on the roadway, we had no road noise. Having off-street parking was a plus. We also liked having two full bathrooms. The kitchen had everything one would need for a short or long stay with a large refrigerator.
No issues.

The cottage was stunning - The pictures don’t do it justice! It felt so cosy and was a perfect base to get back to after a long wet hike up Scafell.
The hosts were fantastic, we managed to stay a night earlier at short notice through the messaging system on booking.com
Haven’t got a bad word to say

Absolutely wonderful hosts, property was spotless with good facilities and large bath. A little walk out of the door to the left is a beautiful stream and to the right and up the farmers path was a little abandoned farmhouse, had a wonderful stay and any concerns Angus helped me with immediately which put my mind at ease, I have already recommended this property to one of my close friends.
What's not to like? The property has character, they allow well behaved dogs and it perfect for children too.

Absolutely beautiful cottage alot bigger than what we thought booked for Easter bank holiday with my friend and our 2 dogs, cottage had everything we needed inside wifi, netflix, amazon lovely log burner bedrooms and bathrooms very good size and been downstairs was good for us with the dogs. They is no garden and it's on a busy road but this was not a issue we just walked the dogs up and down the grass verges outside the cottage. We where there on a walking weekend and found some lovely walks round the corner from cottage.
Could not fault anything met Angus lovely guy told us where some good walking areas were will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely beautiful, kitchen was equipped with everything and the whole place was very clean. Would definately recommend this.
Mattress in the bedrooms was spring mattresses and wasn’t comfortable at all so would recommend that these are upgraded.

Didn't find any shop... Pub is very close, but I didn't like smell in the pub, so we weren't eating there...

The cottage itself is fabulous : spacious, light, stylishly furnished and thoughtfully appointed; really comfortable and quiet - and the area is also just what we needed : friendly , lots of different landscapes and variety of walks ; we could have enjoyed cooking in the cottage where the kitchen has everything you could need but within a short walk there is a really good ,local pub/restaurant serving delicious home-cooked meals - and an area in which people actually live so it 's not just all about tourists ( speaking as a tourist ) so there is a community here often lost in more commercialised regions .We particularly enjoyed returning to the cottage after a day on the hills - sometimes soaked through (but that was no problem either as the cottage has an electric clothes - dryer which actually does just that )- to the comfortable settees aplenty and the television which had more films etc than we could watch . The shop/garage/post office ( open weekdays ) sells essentials plus a contribution book-shop . The path outside the door is handy for the early morning stroll with the dog- and either direction leads into country walks . Walks in the immediate area have mountains to the North and views of the sea to the South : a good OS map of the area is useful to look out interesting routes - ( they sell them in the GPO in Broughton in Furness) Footpaths in the area are mostly clearly marked and clear though this early in the season some were overgrown and we did a spot of 'fern-wading' . The paths were dog-friendly as the dry-stone low walls kept us safe from farm animals plus there are areas where a dog could run off -lead away from animals. Recommended is 'Pats Cafe ' in Kirkby in Furness ( discovered during a southward walk )- a lovely cafe - only open Sunday-Tuesday- by the train station - serves home-made food .
The road outside meant you could not let your dog out as it had to be on a lead -although this prompted early morning walks plus the road made it easy to drive to different areas when we wanted to so it wasn't a problem but a consideration if travelling with a pet as we were . The house was very quiet and the traffic was not noticeable inside the house as it is a stone cottage with double glazed windows .
I can't think of anything else which was not brilliant.

Excellent property finished to a very high standard.
Well laid out with plenty of space for 4 people to stay. All amenities you would need had been thought of.
Booked a dog friendly cottage with the perception it would be “dog friendly” but there was no garden or space to sit outside, never mind area to let dogs out.
Property was right on a main road and vehicles showed no concern for speed limits!!!
Area was particularly remote which meant you had to drive several miles to find shops.
We could not get rid of our accumulated rubbish as bin at the property was already full!!

the house it’s self was amazing, really clean and very big so enough room for my 2 friends, 2 dogs and a baby!
it’s dog friendly but there’s no garden or outside where you can just take them. we had to keep putting them on a lead and walking them on the side of the main road which wasn’t ideal. If you have pets it’s probably not the best place to take them.

More than enough for just me and my husband. It's perfect for a family. It's quite a large high ceiling upside down cottage. Large sitting room and kitchen with everything you need and more. Very clean throughout, good quality bath and bed sheets.

We were delighted to open the door of this beautiful cottage after a long day out with our children and dogs. It is clean, cosy and spacious with fabulous kitchen/dining/living areas. It is very well thought out and well equipped. The location is beautiful. The beds and sofas are very comfortable. Although it is on the side of a road the traffic didn’t bother us. If it had a garden we would love to live here! The local pub was not accommodating as we hadn’t booked (I think it is for locals!) but we were happy to be in the house so drove into Ulverston (where there is an Aldi & M&S food hall) for supplies. We would love to stay here again.
