A hidden haven of calm

Warm welcome on arrival at this family run small boutique hotel. Lovely room decorated in a contemporary Provencal style. Building renovated with a high standard of workmanship throughout I . Good breakfast served in the hotel's restaurant. We used public transport from Avignon to visit Isle sur la Sorgue. The hotel is only a five minute walk from the bus stop. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Better pillows needed. This is a problem in a lot of hotels though.

A beautiful hotel with personal touches in a great location. Great breakfast and breakfast staff and wonderful set menu dinner in the courtyard. The couple owning and running the hotel have sold it and we hope the superb standard will be kept up by the new owners .

Don’t stay here.

The location is nice.

The host Antonia was unkind, unhelpful and inhospitable. I wrote her upon our arrival to alert her of a number of issues (wifi, aircon, etc.) saying I wanted to share these things with her directly while she still had the opportunity to fix them, rather than surprise her with a negative review afterwards that could hurt her business and when it’s too late for her to do something to fix it. She wrote back and did not acknowledge any of the issues I pointed out - she just insulted me personally. She said we were welcome to leave but made clear she would not give us our money back. As someone who writes almost exclusively 5 star reviews, I would encourage others to avoid this place at all costs. There are zero amenities, the pillows are terrible, the rooms are hot, they don’t serve breakfast until 8:30 (and refuse to provide any option to those leaving prior, despite the fact that they’ve charged you for it) and myriad other things. It’s clear the only thing this place cares about is their restaurant patrons- not their overnight guests.

A haven in a slice of heaven

This is a beautiful place to stay! It is absolutely delightful!! The room was spotlessly clean and included everything we needed: fridge, espresso maker, plugs, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, hair dryer, mirrors, blankets, chairs, towels, comfy bed, etc! The rooms look out over the courtyard, which is beautiful. I loved hearing the diners at night, but I could also close our shutters to go to sleep. The breakfast was fantastic. It was so nice to have juice, coffee, croissants, yogurt, eggs (boiled), cereal, and fruit to eat! The service was fabulous, and the staff were all very kind. They went out of their way to give us everything we needed. Walking everywhere in town was incredibly easy. There are many places to sit & get drinks then move on to a dinner place. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Stay here!!

Location, location, location. The breakfast was delicious. The room was comfortable and v clean. Nice toiletries.

No where to relax and read my book with my feet up, glass of vino in hand. No bar service Monday or Tuesday.

Very unique hotel with a river running through the center of it.

The parking area was quite close to the hotel - 3-minute walk - you cannot drive up to the hotel. It only has 5 rooms so we were able to just walk in and find our room.

The air conditioner kept turning off after 30 minutes so we had to keep clicking the remote to keep it going.

Exceptional attention to detail and immaculate presentation. Beautiful setting and lots of charm. Breakfast was simple but delicious with courteous and attentive staff. Our stay here was a great experience.

Specular building,accommodation and food

Stylish, secluded and quiet, contemporary within traditional walls. The breakfast was copious and delicious. The restaurant was first class and the tasting menu was worthy of a Michelin star, it was innovative, used local produce served as a piece of art and the chef had great flair and imagination. As well as those qualities the food was delicious, flavoursome and simply spectacular. The service in house from Antonia was professional , friendly and just a pleasure to interact with her. Nothing was too much trouble. I had a simply perfect 4 days there.

Stay here - it is fantastic!

Second day of a cycling trip. We showed up with a tandem and they were super accommodating. Place is beautiful - we went in April but I imagine it would be stunning in the summer when you could eat outside . Very helpful staff. Clean room. Great location. Definitely have dinner at the restaurant. One of the best meals we’ve had anywhere. Super creative. Loved it.

it is the loveliest hotel we stayed in 3 weeks in France. extremely comfortable bed, sparkling clean and very tastefully decorated. The woman and her husband who is the chef who own the hotel are very friendly and helpful. the dinner at the restaurant was superb. this is a hidden gem.

Solitary, dark, and unpleasant.

The room was comfortable and the location was very good. It was quite and clean.

There was no one there. I never saw a single person. Not even staff. Found my room key in a basket after more than 45 minutes of trying to figure out how to check-in. Very dark at night coming back to it and inside of it too. Only saw people in the restaurant while leaving. I left the keys inside the bedroom because there was no one to ask about check out process. Very confusing and solitary stay. Felt more like I was staying at an Airbnb than a hotel. Would not stay there again.

The property was nice and clean and charming. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was very nice.

The property was clean although the air-conditioning was very inadequate. also There was a coffee machine but it did not work – for the English I’m sure we like milk with our coffee or even choice of coffee or tea. there was a TV in the room although unlike the other five hotels we have stayed in on this trip there was not the ability to watch programs in their original language and so when we wanted to watch TV after a long day was impossible. Luckily for us we had downloaded iPlayer. We had 10 years ago had a marvellous evening meal and my expectations were high for not only the hotel at the restaurant. It cast €60 more per night to stay here and we got much much less than at other facilities. The restaurant was ostentatious and pretentious for example €35 for one dish and I actually felt that I needed to go out and have a chicken and chips afterwards 🤣
