Quirky and unusual guest house in a superb central location

A charming converted town house right in the middle of L'Isle de la Sorgue, filled with quirky and unusual objects and art. An excellent location, and the guest house is run with great care to attention and detail by the owner. It's impossible to drive to the house but the owner offers off-site parking close by (for an extra charge). Our room was large and well-furnished, with an equally spacious bathroom. (No shower but a freestanding bathtub with hand shower).

Elegant Perfection in the heart of L' Isle-sur-La-Sorgue

My wife and I have stayed in many 5 star resorts in the past. The experience here was beyond all expectations! The location is in the center of everything yet it is a quiet and beautiful oasis. Every detail of the historic building was incredible. The breakfast was elegant with amazing attention to detail. Totally, unique experince, extremly elegant and personalized!!

Beautiful but pricey place, at present only worth half the price.

The house is beautiful and the location right at the centre of the island is perfect. The owner and staff were very attentive. The breakfast varied every day and was always very good.

We booked the “ suite” but weren’t able to use the loggia due to the 2 major construction sites right outside. The view looked just like a war zone! We looked out onto a huge crane and the loggia was very dusty. When my husband complained, the owner said if he had written this in the description, no-one would reserve the room (!) and offered no refund. The loggia was one of the reasons we booked the room. It was fairly pricey anyway at €500 a night and we were very disappointed. In the description it also said there was a pool. This is however less 1 meter deep. The courtyard is sadly a little shabby.

The host, Federic, was very helpful with dinner reservations, and offers a wonderful breakfast that includes eggs cooked

A classy, bohemian, historical gem! The rooms were spacious and everything was clean. The beautifully landscaped patio and small pool were a haven of rest from the hot streets.

A/C seemed weak. Ask for a fan. Or don’t go in the summer like we did!

We loved staying in this beautifully restored historic mansion

My husband and I came here for our anniversary and had an amazing time. The hotel is perfectly located across from a lovely church in the center of town. Our room was spacious with eclectic decor and artwork from southeast Asia. The proprietor was very kind and helped us with everything we needed. We can't wait to go back again.

Charming boutique hotel in a perfect location to explore L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

Arty private mansion in the city center. The private mansion is halfway between the high standard boutique hotel and the art gallery. Great breakfast, subtle music playlist, lovely but discreet hosts. Everything at La Maison sur la Sorgue is thought through and decorated with lot of taste. Bonus point for the African, Asian, Burman art collection!

Beautiful place created by an amazing couple of esthètes.

The most memorable feature of the place is the attention to the tiniest detail, sometimes unavailable in a larger hotels. Even long before we were stepping into the cool and beautifully decorated Maison sur Sorgue, I have a feeling we were heading to a place where we’ll be treated like long-awaited guests. Would definitely want to return for the atmosphere and energy of the place. And waking up to enjoy the most amazing dance of shadows on the wall!

Hardly anything to mention. Frederic, perhaps consider adding some protection to the bathtub in the Ombres room. I was concerned for the beautiful wooden finish.

Five star service

In addition to a central location (close to bars, restaurants, in the heart of the isle), Frédéric made us feel most welcome to explore the refurbished mansion, enjoy the courtyard and pool, and of course - there was turn-down service like one would in a five star hotel.

L'emplacement. La découverte artistique.

L'absence dans la chambre d'une bouilloire et d'une machine a café. Une jolie salle de bain mais peu pratique. Cet hôtel s'apparente plus à une maison d'hôtes ce qui crée la confusion et donne un peu l'impression de déranger.
