Welcome to Rockin’ P Haus, a custom-built 4-bedroom, 4-bath retreat nestled atop a scenic mountain overlooking the Guadalupe River and the breathtaking Texas Hill Country. With over 2,000 sq. ft. of thoughtfully designed living space, this spacious home comfortably accommodates up to 9 guests, making it ideal for family getaways, group vacations, or celebratory escapes.

Just half a mile from the Guadalupe River’s popular 4th Crossing and minutes from other favorite float spots like the Horseshoe, Rockin’ P Haus puts river fun right at your fingertips. Canoeing, tubing, and swimming are all within easy reach, and if you bring a boat, extra parking is available next to the home. The Canyon Lake dam is also a quick drive away for additional water sports, boating, and lakeside excursions.

The house was lovely and was mostly how it was depicted online. The view in the back was magical, and the back porch was great. Because the house is located off a narrow, steep road in a rather remote area, it’s not the best area for walking. While the guest bedrooms were really good, the primary bedroom lacked a closet or a rack or even a hook for hanging full-sized garments such as dresses and slacks. It does have a small wardrobe that accommodates short tops, but it’s not sufficient hanging space for two adults. Not enough hooks in the masters’ bathroom either—for robes, for example. Also, the kitchen could use more full-sized serving pieces, and the coffee pot was broken so I had to go purchase one for reimbursement from the owners. Cabinets and drawers in the kitchen and bathroom don’t have handles or knobs, and they are loathe to budge, so I broke several nails and muttered curse words trying to claw them open. (I understand the farmhouse minimalist design, but moving parts should be functional.) The owners were very nice and responsive, however, so they get 5 stars. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
