This property is on a quite cul-de-sac up in the mountains, located 10 minutes from the airport, Costco, restaurants, farmers markets, and shops— only 15 minutes away from world class golf courses, beaches, resorts, and historical sites.

The unit is a private entry way with private lanai, located on the lower level of the host’s home. The owners are quiet but not silent, they have a friendly dog that lives upstairs and a young child as well.

Lauren’s and Nicks place was a perfect stay for us. It is up the mountain and away from any hustle and bustle. However close to many places to eat and beaches. Lauren and Nick were easily available to get a hold of. The place is small and perfect for us two and not having a TV was nice to have a break. If you are looking for a place that is in a peaceful place with lovely host this is a must!

This place was pretty much its own slice of paradise. The location was close enough to main highways to get to Knoa and the airport in a very short time. The view was amazing, and the privacy was exceptional. The owner was always available if needed but kept pretty much to themselves. The room is small but "Cozy and had all the needed amenities.

If you want a private retreat away from the hustle and bustle this is the place! Clean, well maintained, great privacy, and great communication. Really nice patio where birds visit and you can sit sipping your coffee, and gaze into lush tropical surroundings and the sea at the horizon. On the smaller side, so if you want to cook and eat, you will have to work with limited space, a microwave and refrigerator. Otherwise perfect!

A pleasant little spot away from the touristy and resort areas but still close enough to lots of great hiking trails, beaches, and commerce. There's a beautiful view from a large private balcony/deck and it's dark enough to see lots of stars on a clear night. This is a very small space but doable for two. The area surrounding the apartment features lots of plants and some wildlife and roosters. Could use some additional kitchen amenities and outdoor cooking options like a grill.

Had a wonderful stay, beautiful views of the sunset while on the porch, and everything we needed to make breakfast and coffee in the morning. Loved that we could pick a fresh lemon or orange to have with a salad we made. The little bag of 'Unicorn House Coffee' grown here was excellent. Liked the peace and quiet of being on the hill!

We loved the view of the ocean from the big lanai/deck of this very private rental. It's in a residential / agricultural area with Kona coffee farms around, away from the resort area but easy to access on the Palani Highway. No sound of people - just some roosters and frogs. It was very clean and had a big closet with shelves. The only drawback was not much table / nightstand or counter space; hard for one person to cut up a juicy Hawaii pineapple while the other person was at the sink brushing teeth.

Of the five places we stayed on our recent trip to Hawaii, this was our favorite. Wonderful hosts, great coffee, coqui frogs, and a truly great sunset view in the middle of the rainforest, high in the mountains overlooking Kailua-Kona (but still close to town): what’s not to love? We will try to book this property again on our next trip.

Amazing views, real wilderness experience in the heart of old Kailua-Kona rain forest. Very friendly hosts, will be in touch with Nick for sure in the future. Would definitely recommend this for an adventurous nature-abundant stay, also watching sunsets from their porch absolutely gorgeous. Gecos running around fantastic, too!

I am completely satisfied with my stay, it was a charming little room and suited us to a tee. The property was amazing with the views and all the fruit trees. The Lani was perfect for watching the sunset, drinking coffee and just relaxing. I would highly recommend this for two people and if I have the chance I will go back

The pictures do not do justice. This place is very clean, in a beautiful and peaceful setting, and the hosts are wonderful people. I'm here for outrigger canoe races leading up to the Queen Liliuokalani main, international outrigger canoe race. This was a convenient location between Kona and Waikaloa, where I practice with several different clubs/crews. You need a car. It is very cool at the elevation where this place is and it rains some almost everyday, but it is nice and gentle rain.
