Check in and check out were easy (there's a key safe and the code was sent via email before we arrived). The cottage was cosy, warm, and clean. The downstairs is open plan, with a well equipped kitchen, dining area, and comfy living room. Stairs lead upto a bathroom, a big bedroom with a double bed (and amazing view), and a smaller bedroom with a single size bunk bed. We used the double bed and one single bed, both of which were very comfortable. The bathroom has a good shower which is over a small sized bathtub.
The view from the living room and double bedroom is so beautiful. We spent much of our time on the balcony looking at the view. This was a real highlight of our stay. One good thing about this house is that the balcony has a big hedge on one side of it. This obscures the view from the other five or so balconies to the right, making your balcony only visible to the one house on the left. The people in the house on the left were only there for a few days of our stay. The privacy provided by the hedge made our balcony feel much more chilled and luxurious.
There is a wood burner in the living room and one load of wood was included with our stay.
Our dog was very happy here.
The location is excellent for access to beautiful walks, lakes, tarns, villages, and other attractions. We went in the school summer holidays and thought it would be heaving with people but it wasn't at all.
I'd have liked to know beforehand that dogs are not allowed upstairs. They are also not allowed on furniture or to be left alone in the house.
The oven was not good. We tried to cook a roast and the roast potatoes took 2.5 hours. It's a gas oven and we're used to electric, so maybe it was our error. However, it did seem to produce inconsistent heat, so maybe it's worth looking into fixing this or getting a new one.
The kitchen tap was a bit wild. The water didn't exit it calmly and uniformly like taps at home, it spluttered all over the place, which made washing up interesting.
As others have said, the drive up the hill to the car parking space is very steep and windy and not for the feint hearted. We managed it ok every day though, as did the guests in the houses next to us. If you have an expensive, special, or low-rise car, you may not want to take it up there.

What a wonderful view from the excellent patio with an elevated tranquil position overlooking Consiton water in the distance. Sitting on a warm June evening gazing out over the view and sipping a glass of wine - life doesn't get much better.
