It was lovely and cool in the heatwave due to being in the basement. Well thought out layout and comfortable bed (I like it on the hard side). The garden was nicely secluded with lots of birdsong and I liked that it only got full sun for a few hours due to the trees although sun worshippers might not be so keen on that. The ferns outside the back door were a nice touch which stopped it feeling oppressive as some basements can.

The sofa bed was very uncomfortable to sit on and there was no alternative. There is space for a small table and 2 chairs but the only other sitting space was the breakfast bar with two high stools with no backs. Only one bedside table so we used one of the stools the other side. We got back late from a family party on a Saturday night and had to drive around for ages to find a parking space but that was the only time we had to move the car as it is an easy walk into town and the train stations. The stones on the long path to the garden are not easy to walk on. Some stepping stones would be a huge improvement.

Good location. WiFi speed is excellent. All the basic kitchen amenities I expected were there. Nice sized open space at the back of property. Communication from Sean was perfectly timed throughout the stay.

Nothing to say really. If I really had to give an opinion, I would say a small office table and chair will be helpful

Location is good with just a 10 minute walk into town centre. The flat looked clean and the beds were really firm and comfy (I'd let Sean know we'd be using the sofa bed and he kindly made it up before we arrived). The nespresso machine and pods were appreciated.

Remember it's a basement so it's compact, especially the bathroom. There's a sense that there's been previous trouble with guests as the 'house rules' are everywhere. Messaged twice before the stay with them, the 'welcome pack' is just the house rules again (no local info which might have been nice) and the only wall hangings are - the house rules... We did feel a little on eggshells. It's laudable including gadgets like a velvetier and cafetière but without supplies they can't be used. The garden was a little disappointing with worn furniture and not much care taken. Whilst we appreciated the sofa bed having been made up for use, it's not the sofa in the photos, it's much smaller and once made up as a bed couldn't then be turned back into a sofa.
