The seagulls started screaming right outside the window from around 3:30 in the morning. The windows are old, so it felt as if they were sitting right on my pillow, shouting directly into my ear and making it impossible to sleep.

The room was lovely, clean and well decorated. With some nice touches on the whole comfortable.The bed was comfortable, though there was a bit of a tilt from the middle to the edge on one side. The room came supplied with cutlery, crockery, cleaning products and a lovely biscuit selection, along with tea and coffee. The room was in a lovely part of town however, not for us

We stayed for 4 nights and had 2 bath towels and no way of drying them we had to have windows open and over the back of the chairs in front of the windows to dry. Also, the room is exceptionally noisy as only single glazed. Possibly not the owners fault but every sound outside heard inside, from road sweepers, bin men, delivery driver, all starting from 4-30 am on top of that the seagulls from 3 am and the church clock sounding every 15 minutes. The guest upstairs couldn't use door handles as doors were banged shut and being heavy footed, meaning we wouldn't choose to stay again even though the room and location was lovely

Beautiful property, sympathetically restored with attention to detail and tastefully decorated. A fabulous location and the owner was communicative and accommodating.

The bells! The nearby church bell rang repeatedly every 15 minutes, 24 hours a day.
