L’Aubépine

Dejligt hus med gode faciliteter. Rigtige venlige værter som huset deler grund og pool med. Mange gode anbefalinger til besøgssteder og indkøbsmuligheder. Huset ligger tæt på et indkøb-mekka. Også med gode og kvalitet stedet som turist.

Huset trænger måske til en grundig rengøring. Spindelvæv mange stedet. Gamle pomfritter i ovnen:-( En port og andre faciliteter der trænger til en kærlig hånd. Boblebad findes ikke mere på stedet. Ejers hund besørgede på græsplænen - ikke særlig lækkert.

The property is a very smart summer house/chalet/garage at the end of the back garden to a traditional semi-detached property, accessed down a rear track to the drive gate. Although you are in a suburb of Blois, it feels secluded, quiet and not over-looked. The 25m swim lane pool was very nice, but not heated (22 degC), so you need to keep swimming 🥶. The outside terraced area is private with plenty of chairs, tables and a couple of loungers. The property contains everything you need for a self-catering vacation, including a dish washer, washing machine and dryer, plus private parking for up to 2 cars. Auchan (major supermarket) is just a 5 min drive away.

The property needed airing when we arrived, we suspect it hadn't been let out for some weeks. The fridge wasn't particularly clean. The shower and hand towels were very hard, a few minutes in the tumble dryer after washing would fix this. The drive gate (electric sliding) wasn't functioning and so had to be manually slid along the rail. This wouldn't have been an issue, but one of the gate's guide runners was broken, so it kept jumping off the rail. This was quite a nuisance and it would be impossible for an elderly man or women to deal with - needs fixing as soon as possible. The owners have a lovely medium large dog Ooka, who is very friendly and keen to escape when you are trying to close the drive gate! We managed to lose her once and spend some time running around the local streets trying to locate her. In the end she came back on her own, but it was a bit stressful losing someone else's dog.

The place is very cozy and beautifully decorated. The pool is gorgeous. The host is very pleasant.
