Au Balcon de la Basilique

This was a real little gem! Right inside the old town walls and below the beautiful basilica. There were lovely restaurants and bars very nearby. We were also able to walk to the beach and wonderful fish stalls along the river/canal which took about half an hour. The apartment is clean and the bed comfortable and although it is quite compact it was enough for the 2 of us. The little balcony was a real bonus!

Beautiful apartment with good parking right outside. Comfortable bed. Excellent location

There were some little extras missing that you normally expect when staying in an apartment. It mentions free toiletries in the property description but there was only hand soap. Make sure you pack your own shower get and shampoo. There was a tissue box but it was empty and no kitchen towel. There was a fan in the bathroom which wouldn’t switch off, therefore it was noisy in the night. I asked the owner, if there was a way to turn it off and she said, that there was nothing that could be done about it.

Location was good - no tea or coffee provided

Didn’t like having to place €300 deposit and then do all the tidying up myself
