Very spacious and comfortable room with private bathroom, above a fantastic traditional pub in the village of Tubber. Niamh and Martin were incredibly welcoming hosts and made us feel right at home. Don't miss the live music if you get the chance, and the spice box from the food truck is truly legendary! Best of all - the creamy pints!
It wasn't a problem for us, but worth knowing that rooms over the bar will obviously receive a fair bit of noise on busy evenings, so if you're a light (or early) sleeper you'd probably be better off with a room on the other side of the pub - of which there are a few, so don't let this put you off!

The room was spacious and comfortable. The owners were charming and welcoming.
The ensuite door didn't close fully. There was no towel rail. The noise from the pub below was very loud. It would have been nice to have a television in the room. Breakfast - self-service - was disappointing and not generous. Overall, we felt it was expensive.

We stopped off for a night on our way to visit the Burren, and we were so pleased!! The room was comfortable and we slept great in the quiet country setting. The owners and bar are wonderfully inviting and friendly. We awoke to the smell of fresh baked scones that were the best we had in Ireland. Thank you Niamh and Martin!!
If you're visiting during the week be sure to get food in town before you arrive. There is food in Gort. On the weekend the bar has food trucks and music.

Exceptionally friendly staff. A very nicely appointed room. Loads of ample parking. Location ideal. A fabulous example of a family run community pub. Very welcoming to children. The private sitting room area was lovely to catch up with friends in a quieter environment. Relaxed homely vibe. Niamh and Martin were brilliant hosts.
Loud at night as rooms are directly over the pub (but a pub that runs amazing trad sessions!)
Accommodation Bathrooms would benefit from soap.

Convenient to our bike route.
Bed was big and comfy
Good beers at bar
Had to order pizza -no food available. At least Pizza Maxx delivered! (Terrible pizza though! Definitely don't eat unless no other choice!)
Breakfast was not much - can't eat yogurt (sour milk), lactose intolerant so can't have cereal. So just had 2. Pieces of bland toast.

The genuine welcoming by hostess Naeve helped me feel right at home! Locals were enjoying an afternoon Hurling match in the cozy bar! There was toe tapping live music in the evening enjoyed by all!! A nice casual continental breakfast with the tastiest scones was just the thing before a drive to the Burren Perfumery! The proprietor Martin is very pleasant as well!
I highly recommend staying at the Burren Inn. It is definitely worth a short off the beaten path drive!
I only wish I had stayed another night or two!

Quite location, nice rooms with dirty windows
Very arrogant manager. We tried to put something into the fridge which we were allowed by his doughter but he very arrogantly came to the kitchen and without even saying "hallo" or "welcome" almost forced us us to put it away. After some arguments he allowend us to have it there but it was not customer frinedly at all... The rules of the house are very strange for us - although it is B+B you cannot use the fridge, cannot cook your dinner (I mean just to make spaghetti, cannot use the kitchen, cannot bring food to your room.) The breakfast is just instant coffee, some bread and cornflakes. The rooms are nice but windows dirty as well as not very cleaned bathroom. Unfortuntely the way of approaching us as costumers was not good. After this incidente the owner came to my wife and asked her if we could leave next morning (we were supposed to stay for two nights) as he is not used that anybody argues with him in his own house. Wow ! We gladly left the house next morning and found very nice B+B somewhere else where they treated us with respect.
