Cosy Self Contained Annexe

Big enough for a solo or couple and perfect to destress from day to day life.

The access, could have a sensor light as it’s quite dark and narrow. But doesn’t take away from the great place it is to stay.

That had space to park on driveway. Dog friendly and helpful host.

Bed was uncomfortable sadly.

the host left you alone to relax, the bed was comfy, the shower facilities were nice and clean, the towels were nicely hanged up, not far from the town centre, nice table and 4 wooden chairs,

their was only 1 thing i didn't like which was the main door, had a small problem, the latch on the door would not open, leaving me stuck indoors-the host was fantastic and helped straight away, would recommend changing the door and then this place would get 100% recommendation.

I needed somewhere to stay for my dog and I, close to my parents in Bodmin so this place looked ideal. The kitchen set up was nice and the washing machine was very handy. I didn‘t use the oven or microwave, just the kettle and the 1 cereal bowl from the cupboard. The bed was comfortable and I slept quiet well. It was nice to have somewhere to sit with the little table and chairs in the bedroom. The bathroom and shower were fine, its just quite small but as I was on my own the doors stayed open for more space. The parking space off of a main road was very welcome.

The initial appearance isn’t great. You walk down a very small alleyway to the untidy front door. The path was muddy, full of dead leaves and very unwelcoming. The mud was then walked into the property, which was a real shame, I cleaned up as best as I could and left my shoes by the door. The sponge for washing up was really dirty, no idea what it was used for previously so I bought my own. There should be clean sponges/cloths between guests in my opinion. The property smelt damp too and it was really cold. After two nights of being cold I wrote and asked the landlady to turn on the heating as the portable heater was not touching the cold. The heating was turned on and the damp smell improved as the property warmed. I took my wet washing to my parents house, I couldn‘t actually get the clothes airer out from the side of the washing machine, but actually I didn‘t want my wet clothes to dry in the damp smelling atmosphere. Under the bed was a bit dusty and there was an empty PET bottle which wasn’t mine (I only looked as my dog‘s toy went under the bed). I didn‘t agree the property was dirty like some of the previous renters have written, it felt okay to me. Some of the scatter cushions have seen better days and need replacing. I didn‘t like the garden area, felt too enclosed and I don‘t like astroturf but my dog wandered in and out to check out the sniffs.
