I had to travel to my hometown, Charleville Mezieres from my village home in Oxfordshire to visit my brother in hospital

Located in the historic centre of town, the flat is a real surprise. Upon walking through a large ornate door on the street, you enter a spacious wood panelled hallway adorned with encaustic floor tiles . Then you go through a enclosed private courtyard to another building ; the apartment is reached through a narrow spiral staircase up to the second floor. It is compact without being claustrophobic, well equipped with modern appliances and a comfortable sofa. I also liked the fact that the bedroom and bathroom are separated from the kitchen - living room. Large French windows let fresh air inside. The Place Ducale with its beautiful arcades and the Rue Piétonne are 2 minutes walk ,as well as the wonderful Maison Billard boulangerie -pâtisserie just across the street. It really is a heaven of peace in which to relax. Ridge, the host is very responsive and extremely friendly.

Appartement que je connaissais. Au calme sur cour intérieure et jardin. Stationnement facile dans la rue à proximité de l'adresse. Literie confortable, dosettes de café fournies, bien chauffé. Hôte disponible en cas de besoin.

Très déçu de l'appartement pour le prix - propreté à revoir

Emplacement très proche de la place ducale. Hôte très réactif.

La propreté du lieu est plus que douteuse. Tout était couvert de poussière. Il y avait des traces sur les draps. Les toilettes sont si petites qu'il est difficile de passer les genoux pour s'assoir. Le rapport qualité-prix est terrible.

Les toilettes étroites juste à côté du lit... L'étroitesse de la chambre sans lampe de chevet individuelle. L'escalier très très étroit sur deux étages !
