Amazing and unforgettable!

The apartment is located in a brand-new building, adjacent to a quiet, wooded residential 'vila' in the heart of Ipanema. The building is fully automated with secure access, impeccable cleaning, laundry services, a rooftop pool, and a dedicated workspace. Unhotel truly excelled in their service; from pre-check-in to quick responses and efficient problem-solving, they were a major highlight of our stay. I’d like to specifically mention William, who was our main contact throughout the process. Our unit was fully renovated, modern, and very cozy.

The only point for improvement would be the bathroom ceiling, which had some mildew spots due to humidity, but everything else was impeccable."

Main amenities unavailable without notice

Good location and nice decor

The entire rooftop was unavailable during my stay without notice. And staff kept bothering us during the entire stay to try to fix the pool, BBQ and lighting without luck. No windows in the bathroom and bath circulation.

Nice apartment in heart of panema

Location: Fantastic location, centrally located in Ipanema Apartment: Clean and modern, kitchen well stocked with crockery, streaming channels available on TVs, good WiFi Staff: very helpful and prompt to solve any issues Would recommend this accommodation!

Check in: Difficulty entering the property, only one guest’s name was registered for the facial recognition. As a result, I was unable to enter the property (despite making the booking, paying and providing all details in advance) and had to wait to be let in The “standard apartment” is actually a studio given the bedroom does not have a door Lack of luggage storage Washing machine is communal not in flat Not enough toilet roll

Felt very secure, nice area in ipanema, great facilities, clean - very good experience.

Had some confusion with getting into the property at first and some issues with hot water, but staff extremely helpful to resolve this.

Great stay in Ipanema beach!

The location is great, close to restaurants, supermarket and the beach. The roof pool is very nice. The room is good size

The quality of bed linen and towels was poor and old. It would be nice to have the room cleaned and towels changed during the stay. The hotel doesn’t offer luggage storage and you can’t access the building after check out as the face recognition gets deactivated.

Modern small apartment in Ipanema

Very located apartment in a modern building with digital security/concierge. Safe neighborhood and lots of places to eat and shop around. Online support from William was always kind and prompt, 10/10 - highly appreciated!

Location is very good but its is “edge” of the good area of Ipanema. Pool area seems not well maintained (you can see paint peeling off and some dirt here and there). Apartment itself is clean but bathroom and furniture could use some TLC. Bathroom is really tiny, bathroom amenities are quite basic.

Lovely studio flat very well located in Ipanema.

A really well designed studio flat. Located in a vibrant and safe neighbourhood. Flat very clean.

Unfortunately, we were badly bitten by mosquitos entering from the common area outside the flat’s front door. Also, the fire alarm to the whole building went off for a very long time during the night and we had to call a number to speak to a person off-site.

Perfect!

Very spacious, cool design features and chill areas in the apartment and the rooftop. In a great location close to a lot of very nice restaurants and the beach ! Security was excellent with facial recognition on 2 doors.

Luggage storage at the hotel would be helpful.

Nice hotel

Lovely pool and nice reception area. Spacious rooms with a large comfy bed. Good location near restaurants. Bathroom was large with a double sink and bath. Gym was small but good.

A lot of loud street traffic interrupted our sleep. Rooms were a bit dated. Nothing vegan for breakfast other than bread jam and fruit, and roasted veg one day.

Great apartments in a good location

Great location, close to restaurants and bars but on a quiet street a couple of blocks from the beach. Felt safe. We stayed twice and rooms were varying sizes. Pool was small but a nice rooftop for a dip. Communal washing and drying machines downstairs but nowhere to hang/dry clothes in the apartments. They were very helpful and responsive on WhatsApp, especially William. Would recommend.

Nothing really! Getting the facial ID took a little while on entry as the first person didn't speak much English but the second day this was sorted and the QR worked until then.

Ideal - would stay again.

Fantastic location just off Ipanema beach. The staff were incredibly helpful and responsive, especially William who helped arrange for the building’s reception team (independent from Unhotel) to receive our delayed luggage.

The rooftop pool was perhaps surplus to requirements.

Location, location, location! Three blocks from Ipanema (this is the best part of the property).The property was quiet and off from the street. Also, very secure with modern system. Check in was relatively easy.

Host was fairly uncommunicative until arrival. Once in apartment they were very responsive, but not until then. Uncleanly- stains on chair upholstery, cigarette butts on balcony, stains on wall by bed, stains on window side of black out curtains. Don't look close, gross. There were limited toiletries and dishes in kitchen. No toilet paper dispenser. No substantial garbage can in apartment. Also, DON'T USE RadicalStorage App for baggage storage! Trust me...

The location was incredible (close to the beach/lagoon and between 2 metro stops), great security features and quiet/respectful neighbors. The hosts were responsive and the studio was very cozy.

Overrated property

Bed was comfortable.

Extremely inflexible with the check-in time. The apartment was dirty, with a lot of dust on the furniture, especially the lamps and wardrobe. Some of the bathroom towels were also dirty (I had to ask for clean ones). Poorly maintained overall. No one cleans the swimming pool, so it was filthy with dead mosquitoes and leaves, I couldn’t use it. They claim it’s not their responsibility since they don’t own the entire building, only a few apartments. There’s a shared washing machine located at the bottom of the building. Completely overpriced and overrated property. The location is not safe. In fact, it’s next to a hospital with many homeless people living nearby. Extremely dangerous at night. Be careful!

Good location

Strong sewer smell coming out of the bathroom. The AC unit in the bedroom did not work and it was frustrating to not be able to move to a different unit in the building.

In the end the stay was enjoyable overall

Location was great and once we figured out the facial ID access that worked well. Room was comfortable and had cooking facilities.

Initially trying to get in using the QR code provided didn't work and the intercom didn't work. There was also nobody at reception so we were very concerned that we would be stuck outside the property indefinitely. Finally the QR code worked and we got access. No soap in the room

Top notch accommodation in Ipanema

From the beginning very well organized and smooth information provided regarding check in and other questions. Location is in a safe and peaceful neighborhood. Everything was clean and tidy. The whole apartment building provided everything we needed with a nice rooftop deck and a small swimming pool.

Elegant and comfortable

Beautifully decorated, extremely comfortable and in a great location. We loved the pool! Miguel was so helpful, we did not meet but he was very easy to contact. It was expensive, but it was worth it for the quality and the pool. Also, there is a fully equipped kitchen so you could save on food this way.
