Chai & Spice Guesthouse

The room was nice and clean and spacious.

The rooms are close to the restaurant and you can hear everything during the trading hours as some geust get seated by the bedroom windown and can hear their conversation. You can also hear the coffeemaker noices in the rooms. They lock everything when the restaurant closes so it makes it difficult to move around after trading hours. When I arrived it took them a while to get my stuff in order and they showed me different rooms to pick from and when I selected a room I was informed that its a more expensive room and had to pay extra.

The Room was clean and comfortable and the bathroom was great, with a good shower

The bedroom was a bit small and I didn't expect this, as the size of the room was not mentioned when booking. The rooms are situated at the back of a restaurant. When you need to access the room or leave when the restaurant is closed, there is a back entrance, but the area where you walk is a bit messy.

Great service from the Staff and Owner, and neat restaurant and entrance, as well as outdoor seating area. Beautiful indeed. Unfortunately I did not have an opportunity to experience their food, but must say, it smells really good.

1. The shower all of a sudden burns with hot water when under the water at temperature selected through mixer. Appears that when showering, and someone opens a tap, you then get a flow of HOT water, burning a person. 2. Water all over the floor when showering. 3. Bedding only has a bottom sheet, and not top. Appears the duvet is used every day, and not changed every day. Bedding felt dirty. I had to get up and shower at 02hoo the morning as it felt sticky. 4. No aircon, but do have a fan which I used after requesting for a fan. 5. Rooms exceptionally small, very limited space. 6. No Cupboard to hang clothing, although there is a Stand where you can hang clothes, next to the little coffee table.
