The Traveller Kandy

Unser Aufenthalt im The Traveller Kandy war absolut fantastisch! Das lag vor allem an unserem Gastgeber Harshan, der uns unglaublich freundlich empfangen hat. Man merkt sofort, dass ihm das Wohl seiner Gäste am Herzen liegt. • Herausragender Service: Harshan bot uns direkt an, bei der Kommunikation mit Tuk-Tuk-Fahrern zu helfen. Das war bei unserer Abreise eine riesige Hilfe, als unser über eine App gebuchter Fahrer die Unterkunft nicht finden konnte – Harshan hat das Telefonat übernommen und alles souverän geregelt. • Die Unterkunft: Es handelt sich um einen modernen Neubau. Die Zimmer sind extrem geräumig und fühlten sich für uns eher wie eine schicke Einzimmerwohnung an. • Highlights: Wir hatten das Glück, dass das Nachbarzimmer nicht belegt war, sodass wir die Terrasse ganz für uns alleine nutzen konnten. Der Ausblick direkt in die Natur ist traumhaft und sehr beruhigend.

• Lage: Die Unterkunft liegt etwa 15–20 Minuten Fahrt außerhalb von Kandy. Für uns war das jedoch kein echtes Manko, sondern eher ein Vorteil: Man entkommt dem dichten Verkehr und den Abgasen der Stadt. Mit dem Tuk-Tuk kostet die Fahrt nur ca. 1,00 € bis 1,50 €, was absolut erschwinglich ist. Wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier genau richtig!

Very tastefully decorated and beautiful floor plan but the. Ire is probably still the best feature. 🫶 Nice amenities, universal electrical outlets, the host really put loads of thought into the comfort and convenience of the guests! It looks like you’re far out of the city, but it’s actually quite close. Good bus connection to the city center.

Although it looks like you’re out of the city, the normal big city traffic and noise does reach this wonderful perch. Delivery guys and drivers rarely found the spot on google, but the host was always there to navigate them correctly to „home.“

Établissement avec une superbe décoration et très belle vue. La chambre était bien spacieuse et équipée, très cosy. Pdj très bien et copieux ! Emplacement plus au calme (et à l’écart de Kandy). Accueil très sympathique 😊

Emplacement un peu trop à l’écart de toutes commodités (mais restauration et cuisine possible sur place). Pas de Wifi. Une séparation entre l’espace nuit et la salle de bain serait un plus.

We had a fantastic stay at The Traveller Kandy! The host was lovely, super friendly, and really easy to talk to – made us feel very welcome right away. The view from our room was absolutely incredible – we spent so much time just sitting on the balcony watching life go by in the valley below. It was the perfect peaceful escape. We’re really glad we chose a spot just a little out of town; it’s only a short PickMe ride into central Kandy, but far enough to avoid the busyness and crowds in the city center. We chatted with other travelers who regretted staying right in town and wished they’d picked somewhere quieter like this. The property has beautiful design and a calm, relaxing vibe overall. We stayed for 2 nights, which felt like more than enough for a quick visit to Kandy (especially if you’re doing a short trip and hitting the main sights). Highly recommend this place for anyone wanting stunning views, a friendly host, and a serene retreat away from the hustle!

Would have been nice to have breakfast option at the accomodation - I think there was a reason we could not have any during our stay but would have loved to enjoy the view with a coffee
