The Old Laundry

Sue was a fabulous host. She had thought of everything and left us so many free goodies. The apartment was large and extremely comfortable.

Nothing.

The property is ideally located close to the centre of Rye and a short drive to Rye Harbour Nature Reserve and Winchelsea Beach. The Old Laundry was very peaceful, exceptionally clean and very comfortable. I felt at ease as soon as I met Sue and she showed me around the property. The Old Laundry has everything you need for a relaxing stay: a large sofa, with cushions and throw, large Smart TV & DVD player, a wide range of books and tourist attraction leaflets, fully equipped kitchen, very comfortable bed and a good range of bedding to suit all temperatures. I loved the fish! The roses in the bedroom were a lovely touch. Despite being next to the road, I found The Old Laundry to be quiet. Sue was always on hand to answer questions and quick to respond to messages.

There was nothing I didn’t like about the property. In fact, I had such a lovely, relaxing time I extended my trip.

Excellent facilities and well appointed.

Very basic meet and greet (3 minutes, 2 of which were how to feed the fish). No subsequent follow up or anything. No appliance operating instructions provided (except microwave). If door left open, very intrusive traffic and motorbike noise . Steep and uneven steps.

Really good location to look around the town. Biscuits, bread and milk provided for our comfort

This is not a dog friendly property, no garden facilities so you’ll have to take your dog up the steep steps onto the main road to take them for a wee. Awkward late at night. This is not wheelchair friendly, you must walk down approx 10 very steep stairs to the front of the property. Bed had two uncomfortable mattresses one on top of the other. Not comfy.
