The property was beyond amazing, and communication with Josie was exceptional. The house was perfect, from the cleanliness to all the amenities. The kitchen is stocked better than my own! You honestly don't need to bring much other than clothes and food. I've stayed at many VRBO's but none as well stocked as this. There were plenty of towels for showers, and an entire setup by the pool included towels, sunscreen, and a mini JBL for music. Outdoor games, baby toys, games, and cards were just a few of the items we used. There was so much I couldn't possibly list it all, but to say I was impressed is an understatement. We highly recommend this home . Bring your boat! Access to the gulf is right around the corner.

If you are looking at other places, look no further! This is it!! There were 7 of us, with 5 kids, so space and amenities were very important. There are at least 5 large areas just for hanging out, whether on a hammock, swing, or rooftop watching the sunset, there was plenty of space for us all. Josie has thought of everything, and laid out everything you could think of. Just bring your clothes, because almost everything is provided. There are four kayaks, one of which is a two-person, and we paddled out to the Gulf. The house is about 30 min away from Homassassa, where we went scalloping. We brought the scallops back and cooked them on the Blackstone and had smores, also which was provided by the house. We have stayed in other houses in Hernando, but this is by far our favorite. Thank you so much for your hospitality. It felt more like I was staying with a friend, then a rental, Thank you!

We recently stayed at Hernando Hideaway and I wanted to say that my entire family ages 7-75 had one of the best vacations in their life! The communication from the owner Josie was exceptional! I’ve worked in customer service for over 30 years and Josie provides some of the best customer service I have ever seen! Her emails are fast and detailed.The house itself has everything you need. A coffee station with K cups provided, starter condiments in the fridge, a huge variety of cookware, plates, cups, laundry detergent, s’mores kit, snacks, extra tooth brushes, toothpaste, etc… The house is clean and beds are comfortable.My kids loved fishing off the dock. We rented golf carts from sweat heart carts and drove to the bait shop. Josie had several fishing poles and other fishing equipment available for use. We caught catfish, crab, a stingray and other various fish. The dock has lights for night fishing and a sink to wash your hands.The pool is saltwater and was super clean. My family enjoyed this area allot! Josie has pool toys, life jackets, swim masks, beach toys, pool basketball hoop, coolers for your drinks and more!We drove our golf carts to many restaurants on the strip. Our favorite was the drunken mullet as they had live music on the water and good food. We rented a pontoon boat from captains boat rental and saw many dolphins in the canals.I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for the perfect vacation.
