Vilamoura Beach House

Excellent location, quiet, peaceful and accessible. Fantastic!!

Each room only had double beds, no single beds for non couples.

House was spotless, spacious, pool, outdoor area, roof terrace, good facilities. In a nice part of Vilamoura. Close enough to a supermarket, bus stops and a couple of cafes. 15 minute walk to Vilamoura's main area, with lots of bars, cafes and shops.

1. Patio door in living room had a crack in it - contacted the company, who said they knew about it... not sure why it wasn't repaired before our stay... an accident waiting to happen..(did not use the other doors in the living room as didn't want to disturb glass). Instead using the doors from the bedrooms, not ideal and had to do a bit of DIY ourselves to ensure glass didn't fall out. 2. Chose the villa as wanted self catering.... bought shopping, prepped meal, turned on oven... 10 minutes in electricity tripped. There goes dinner! Phoned the company, said would send someone (probably be an hour), luckily for us, the guy next door is a resident and came in to reset the electricity, oh and told us best not to use the oven. (Tripped twice during our stay). 3. 6 days into our stay, building work started across the road. Noise started around 8am and they work really late!! 4. Booking the villa - a security deposit is taken after you make your booking. Whilst I don't have a problem paying a deposit, it really should be advertised so you are aware, in advance of the booking. 5. Left item, emailed the company we rented the property from as soon as we got home, they advised they had contacted the cleaning team and were waiting for feedback. (In the meantime got an email confirming deposit would be returned), I didn't say what the bag contained in the first email. I did not get any further response so emailed again to let them know what was in the bag. Suddenly, no one had been in the property (including cleaners) since we left and someone from the company went to the property and didn't find anything. Not sure how they can say the had contacted the cleaning team and then say no one had been in, even though obviously someone had, as how would they know everything was ok with how the property was left so they could return the deposit. Needless to say, haven't had my property returned.
