The property had a rustic, chic flair which I enjoyed. The stand alone bath was probably the best feature.
There was a damp smell throughout the stay. I think it came from the washing machine. But the smell was strong and off putting. The front door also had no curtain or blinds, so that was a little uncomfortable.

Stunning location, stunning inside, Christmas tree was a nice touch, so comfortable. 25 min walk from local village pub, chip shop and fresh Farm produce cafe- Browns. The Shepard’s Bar Cafe was stunning with indoor and outdoor seating. Short and long walks available around the woods.

The simple but effective layout, quick to respond staff to any issues, well equipped, very comfy double bed. The location in general was lovely for biking, walking, wildlife. The shepherds baaa was great also, simple but tasty food and really helpful and friendly. The fire pit was nice to use although if the wind direction was towards the accommodation it may well have smoked everyone out.
It could have been clearer that there is NO vehicular access to the accommodation and access is by a roughly flagged path with the car park approximately 15metres away. Very labour intensive bringing our bags and dad’s disability equipment in. The accommodation was VERY warm, especially the bathroom. The bathroom fan was obviously faulty so couldn’t be used but they did come and look at it and advise it’ll be sorted after our stay to not disturb us which was fine.

Without a doubt, the most beautiful, boutique place we have had the pleasure to stay in. Woodcutters Lodge was lovingly renovated after 2011(was lucky to meet owners) to the highest standard. It is secluded, within Thetford Forest Park, cosy & much needed for some rest, but for us to be near relatives. You enter through the back door and met with under floor heating, entrance for shoes/coats. Automatic lighting to bathroom/toilet. Feels like you're in a spa with size & decor. Lovely fluffy towels & robes. Shampoo/cond/hand & body wash/lotion provided. Property has smart tv, amazing inbuilt flame effect fire, range cooker, dishwasher, separate fridge & freezer, washing machine/dryer if needed. All equipment is high quality &:you have everything you need. Was also great to have fresh milk provided plus tea/coffee etc. Also a lovely touch was the sharing bag of crisps/box of shortbread & voucher for the Shepherd's Baa cafe- complimentary drinks. There is a patio to front with chairs & BBQ. There are lovely walks on the doorstep if you don't want to drive. Mundford nearby for local shop/cafe/chippy. There is 2 guides available for appliances & other with house/local information. Aqua sana spa only about 30 mins away if you want a spa treatment/spa day/evening. Wished we could have stayed longer & hope to return again. Loved being near nature..
Absolutely nothing bad to say. It was perfect for us. Did suggest to owners about adding some pictures of the property before renovation.
Some may moan about plane noise as near to RAF Lakenheath & Mildenhall- didn't bother us.

Absolutely beautiful cottage with everything you would need for a weekend away. Especially enjoyed sitting around the firepit in the evening with a glass of wine. The location was perfect for long walks too!
Couldn't fault it.

The location is fabulous! We loved the gardens and being surrounded by the arboretum and lakes, with so many walks to enjoy. The studio is peaceful and well-equipped, with everything you need for self-catering. It was a lovely touch to find milk in the fridge, shortbread, and a voucher for the excellent Shepherds Baa café.

Beautiful location with the Arboretum and the garden itself, lots of nice walks around the forest and in walking distance of the nearest pub! (Try the cheesecake).
The studio itself was a lovely design and had everything you could need. I had a lovely, relaxing time.
Comfy bed but struggled to sleep as it got very hot in there (although a powerful fan was provided). Maybe some lighter bedding for the summer months could help this?
Also not a major issue but shower head could do with replacing.

We liked the comfort and privacy of the accommodation and its location in the Thetford Forest. Enjoyed getting coffee and pastries at the Baa Café situated on the property and barbecuing in the garden. Walking through the arboretum and forest adjacent to our cottage was delightful, especially given the warm weather. The location was convenient for exploring East Anglia.
We appreciated the carefully prepared instructions for Woodcutter’s Lodge. The bathroom was a work of art with its dual shower and uniquely styled bathtub.
The clothes washer/dryer was difficult to understand and appreciate (as are many European appliances).

The cottage is on one level, very spacious and beautifully appointed. It was ideal for me and my partner who is a wheelchair user.
It was spotlessly clean and everything provided for use was of high quality, e.g. towels, kitchen equipment.
The bathroom was huge and the double shower was perfect for us.
I loved the open plan kitchen/living area, being able to keep an eye on my partner was has some medical needs, whilst I was preparing food.
He loved the huge smart TV’s in the living room and bedroom.
Lovely touch by the owners to leave us a welcoming gift, including a voucher for drinks at the Shepherd’s Baa.
The entrance had a step to the front door, but there was a just enough space to the side of the step for us to get through with the wheelchair, albeit a tricky slope.
It was very hot weather during our stay, so the 10 tog duvet provided wasn’t appropriate. But this was easily remedied as we simply used the duvet cover to sleep under and used the fan we found in the utility cupboard.

Location was wonderful set in the beautiful Thetford Forest
The overall experienced was negatively impacted by lack of water pressure particularly affecting the shower and also excessive dust due driveway nearby.

The amazing location really makes this stay. Both the beautiful private communal garden and having the Arboretum literally outside the garden entrance meant that as a family we were able to quickly unwind and enjoy pre and post meal runarounds and walks.

A lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings. Lovely welcome gifts too. Lovely walks just outside the door.
We had trouble controlling the temperature, it was cool downstairs but hot upstairs. It didn't spoil our stay and would return.

Everything! Our cottage, Crossbills, is beautifully presented, comfortable, cosy, quiet and set in lovely, well maintained gardens. The surrounding forest is a birdwatchers delight! The drinks voucher for the Shepherd's Baa 'cafe' was a nice touch, as was the welcome shortbread and crisps, thank you!
Nothing, everything was perfect.

Lovely position for us & the gardens & area were delightful! Cottage was clean & spacious.
It was far too hot! The heating couldn’t be regulated, it was underfloor heating & the floor got so hot it was uncomfortable to walk on. Also the outside light couldn’t be switched off at night & it shone brightly into the cottage at night which meant disturbed sleep for us!

Pity about the power cut, but the refund for the night without power is much appreciated.
