Bishy Barnabees country lodge with hot tub

The property on the whole was comfy and had everything we needed. The milk jam and butter left for us was a lovely touch.

Although the view was nice the lodge was too close to the stable block. Also, we didn’t realise the lodge would be so close to the road, we thought it would be in more of a secluded spot. We found the interior sofas were uncomfortable and dated.

The hosts were very helpful and friendly but gave us plenty of space and repsected our privacy. I love the farm atmosphere with horses, goats, chickens, ducks. The dogs were lovely and would come visit if you liked. The fenced area around the lodge was plenty of room and security for our dog. The hot tub was all ours and next to the cabin Mick would fire it it up every day.. The oak tree branches over the hot tub were full of various birds as was the bird feeder seen right out glass doors in the lodge... quality binoculars for birdwatching are on the bookshelf. The sofa on the covered porch was comfy and was across from a stable where we watched the horses and pony being taken out. A little dirt road led directly the wooded area behind the paddocks and we say cuckoos and a redkite as well as many other birds. It was rainy and cold and we enjoyed the wood stove. Every thing we needed and many little welcoming touches. I quite frankly want to move in ....it is my dream home. The photo is the view from the hot tub.
