Nice place for a couple of nights

Great little place for two to stay

We stayed in Narborough at the Barn and it was comfortable and clean. It was well-equipped with kitchen equipment and the bed was comfortable too. Location was good and it was adjacent to a free car park and less than a 5 minute walk to the town which, although quite small, had cafes, shops etc. We stayed to be close to relatives in nearby Necton and this was easy to get to.

There were three of us staying so one person slept on the sofa bed but this was not very comfortable. There was also noise from the other two units at the Barn - doors shutting etc which woke us up. It took quite a while to locate the light switch in the bedroom so it would be helpful to give an indication where this is (it was not at all obvious!). We wanted to vacuum before we left but couldn't get the appliance off its holder - we were reluctant to pull too hard as were worried we might pull the whole thing off, but maybe we were too cautious!

Sleepless!!!!!

The apartment was well furnished and met our requirements for the 3 nights we were there.

Unfortunately the mattress was an absolute disgrace with the springs poking into you, no sleep for 3 nights. There were absolutely no toiletries in the bathroom. Dispensers on the wall were empty. The same was the case with the dispenser in the kitchen. Although there was a lovely coffee pod machine it was absolutely useless for us as we don't drink milky coffee. No Americano pods were supplied, the reason given because they don't supply milk!!!!! A pretty lame excuse when you may drink black coffee or being self catering, bring your own milk. A cafetiere would have been nice too. We did message the owner on the platform but received no reply. I then remembered I had her mobile so Whatsapped her but was just told she had replied on the platform which we never received. Her attitude was less than acceptable, saying they had worked hard on the apartment. Well not hard enough to check the mattress or toiletries!!!!

A fantastic base for us whilst visiting family and will certainly look to stay again.

The layout of the apartment was great for us with 2 children. We liked the fact that there were no keys and that it was codes on the doors to unlock. The hosts were really accommodating when we asked if we could check in early as it was hard to judge our arrival time after a long journey on Good Friday.

An enjoyable stay & a great location for touring the area

Location was great, easy access for exploring surrounding areas. Handy for supermarkets as Waitrose & Tesco Superstore were only a 5 min drive away plus there is an Asda (Metro?) within a 5 min walk from property which was very useful. Free Car Park is only 50 yards away. Easy parking on road at side of property (for a few minutes only) to unload. No problem getting key code, all went smoothly for us. Property had everything you could need, it was well furnished & kitted out, bed was comfortable & property immaculately clean & warm.

Shower room (including only loo) were modern & absolutely fine BUT for us we didn't like it being off the kitchen. Would've liked access to main TV channels not just Netflix etc. These are just our personal preferences though & probably wouldn't effect anyone else.

Relaxing, stress free stay with everything you could need on hand.

Bright, modern, charming apartment with the most up to date appliances. Very clean, comfortable and spacious. I would definitely stay there again.

Great disappointment. Despite my size 10 55kg frame, I could feel the springs through the mattress of the poor quality bed. Contacted owner who then put a ‘mattress topper’ on the bed, (without letting me know they were going to access the property while I wasn’t there) which made little difference. Fortunately a relative living nearby brought a proper mattress topper which made the bed bearable. The spiral staircase to access the bedroom was slippery with a rickety plastic railing so glad I wasn’t staying here with children, although a stair gate was in place. If you’re not worried about the bed or stairs it’s an adequate place for a short stay but several minor issues make this less comfortable than it could, or should, be. As a solo traveller it’s also a security concern that the key code for the main door and my room door were the same.

Fabulous! Lovely base for exploring the area. Very clean.

So, so clean! Often, I arrive at properties and need to clean them before we settle in - but not this apartment! It was also really warm and comfortable. Lots of cooking equipment, right down to scales if you need them. The fridge/ice compartment was a decent size for our 3 night stay, and would probably be fine for longer. Lovely to have a coffee machine and all the proper cups and glasses for any beverage we fancied. The sofa bed was much appreciated by by teenage son. I liked having the bed upstairs, to give him space, but still being able to hear him if there were any problems - as it was a spiral staircase through an opening. Just a quick note - the door code needs the hashtag key pressed before the number. A kind stranger helped us figure this out.

Great place to get to know Norfolk

The location, small town close to shops and pubs. Very convenient if you are visiting Norfolk coast and Norwich. The place was tastefully decorated and there was even a Dolce Gusto coffee machine. The free car park just a few metres up the road was very good too!

A really relaxed week with all of our requirements easy to hand

Being only a 5 minute walk from all local amenities was most welcome. The cottage was above our expectations and all the facilities were great.

Great base for family visit

We spent a lovely few nights at the Barn while visiting for a family birthday. The apartment was lovely, stylish and comfortable. Jilly was very helpful and gave clear check in directions. Although very close to the High Street, the apartment was very quiet. The free car park is really close by. We'll be back!
