Blue Maverick for Nature Lovers~ 4WD ONLY!

Este lugar en el Caribe de Costa Rica es simplemente asombroso. La privacidad es total, rodeado de un bosque hermoso y muchísima naturaleza. Además, su ubicación es perfecta: justo a medio camino entre Puerto Viejo, Cocles y Manzanillo, lo que lo hace súper conveniente para visitar cualquier punto de la zona. La casa es amplia y llena de ventanas, así que la naturaleza se siente presente desde adentro. Es increíble la cantidad de animales que se pueden ver solo estando en la casa: monos, aves, lapas, perezosos, pavones y muchísimos más. La atención es excelente, siempre con muy buena comunicación con los anfitriones. Y la relación precio–calidad es realmente sorprendente. Un lugar que sin duda vale cada minuto.

Das beste auf unsere langen Reise. Liegt wunderbar mitten im Dschungel. Überall sind Tiere zu sehen, ob Affen, Faultiere, Tukane oder Ara's. Das Haus hat alles erdenkliche und man merkt das ab und an die Besitzer auch hier leben. Küche ist vollständig, bequemes Wohnzimmer und eine tolle Veranda mit Hängematte und Schaukelstuhl. Wir haben direkt nach der ersten Nacht verlängert. Ach ja, da ist da noch Zinni, die Betreuerin, die immer erreichbar war und Fragen rund ums Haus oder Tipps für Restaurants. Richtig gut! Ein gutes Auto mit 4x4 sollte vorhanden sein.

The location was marvelous, just out of town, but private and in the midst of nature. The property was beautifully designed and constructed with native woods abounding. It was spacious and comfortable with lovely little tables out on the deck to enjoy coffeee and breakfast. This spot is a bird lover's paradise. The porch benches that wrap around 3 sides of the house seemed to have been designed specifically with the arm rests at the perfect height to lean your elbows and support one's binoculars. There is a path down to a covered shelter for more nature viewing. Also the owners are co-operating with the Green Ara Macaw conservation project and have a nesting box high in a tree, and we were lucky enough to see/hear a pair enjoying it two days in a row. Zinni, the caretaker, was very pleasant and responsive.

Our suggestion to improve our stay would be to have screens on more of the windows in the kitchen and living room. After sunset to avoid nature's little intruders it was necessary to keep all the wooden shutters closed which made the air / ambiance a bit close.
