    I stayed at CMK Habitat Hotel from 13th May 2026 to 14th May 2026 with my family (5 adults and 1 kid). I booked the stay through Agoda and paid Rs. 5745.43 for 2 rooms including breakfast. While booking on Agoda, the number of guests was selected during the initial search itself. I also cross-checked the guest count during room selection before confirming the booking. There was even an option to choose rooms with or without breakfast, and I selected the breakfast-inclusive option. I booked around 8:23 PM and reached the hotel around 10 PM. Since it was a last-minute booking, I had not checked the email voucher from Agoda before arrival. At check-in, the receptionist informed us that the booking was only for 2 adults in total. I was shocked because I had clearly booked for 5 adults and 1 kid across 2 rooms. The receptionist insisted that the hotel had received a booking only for 2 adults and asked me to contact Agoda customer care. Unfortunately, there was no immediate response from Agoda despite several attempts. After a long and heated discussion, the receptionist contacted his manager, and finally we were allowed to stay for the night with the understanding that the issue would be sorted out the next morning. The next morning, the receptionist mentioned that the hotel had received around Rs. 5600+ from Agoda against my booking. From the beginning, I believed this was likely a technical or communication issue from the app/platform side. However, the most disappointing part of the experience was how the situation was handled by the hotel management, especially the GM (Mr. Biju, if I remember correctly). Instead of trying to understand the issue or help resolve it professionally, he repeatedly accused us of “cheating” the hotel by staying with 5 adults and 1 kid. Even after I showed: * the total amount paid, * screenshots of the room rates before booking, * and explained that my travel-agent friend had already checked directly with the hotel and quoted around Rs. 5800 for 5 adults and 1 kid including breakfast, the GM showed absolutely no interest in understanding the situation logically. In fact, my friend had suggested booking directly with the hotel, but because Agoda showed a slightly cheaper last-minute deal, I went ahead with Agoda. The issue was never about the extra Rs.1500 they demanded later. I repeatedly told them that paying Rs.1500 was not a major issue for me. The real disappointment was the complete lack of customer-handling skills and unwillingness to solve the problem collaboratively. Instead of saying: “Let us verify this together with Agoda,” their attitude throughout was: “You cheated us.” As someone who has stayed in more than 300 hotels across India over the last 10 years due to professional travel, this was one of the worst customer-handling experiences I have faced. Another disappointing part was the hospitality during arrival. We came in a large car, and parking outside was difficult. There was no security staff available, and the receptionist, who later mentioned it was his first day at work, did not even attempt to assist us. From that moment itself, the overall impression of the hotel started going down. Finally, after continuous arguments and no constructive resolution, we paid the additional Rs.1500 and checked out. What disappoints me most is not the money — it is the attitude. A good hotel management team should know that customer satisfaction and reputation are more valuable than a short-term gain. Even if there was confusion from Agoda’s side, the hotel could have handled the matter with maturity and professionalism instead of blaming the customer repeatedly. Positive note: The lady receptionist seemed much more mature and understanding than the GM. She appeared to understand the situation but seemed helpless because of the management’s approach.     Everything is good except there was a foul smell in the bathroom, i was staying in 114, one of my friend who was in 113 also said the same.

    The hotel is located in a very quiet area, with no shops or restaurants within walking distance. The air conditioning performs poorly, and torn towels were provided. Furthermore, the breakfast rate has been doubled compared to the price listed on Agoda. On a positive note, the reception staff are very courteous and helpful.
