About this farm stay rental

Located at the intersection of Route 7 and 305 this place is perfect if you’re coming from PA over to Big Oak Meadows or Hartford Hill Winery or Tiffany’s for a wedding or event! It’s also only 18 min from Mosquito Lake for fishing enthusiasts. The exposed beams and original 7” red oak floors give this century home so much character! There are three bedrooms upstairs. The living room can easily accommodate 9 people with a cozy fireplace and large SmartTV ready with Hulu and YouTubeTV as well as about 30 family friendly movies purchased in our Vudu account. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you need to host a great meal. We also have a firepit with plenty of wood, little starter logs to make it easy and 8 lawn chairs. Theres a Dollar Store 1/10th of a mile away so you can get groceries in minutes!

The Hartford Cottage was the perfect place for my family to stay for our reunion. We were super close to the various reunion locations. We had plenty of space for the 6 of us. We definitely appreciated the coffee and all the extra linens and toiletries. My children loved the books, games and toys. We will definitely book again for future family events in the area.

My family enjoyed our brief Star at the Hartford Cottage in Burghill. Due to the weather, we did not have the chance to enjoy the yard & outside amenities/games but did enjoy the many amenities inside. The kids bedroom was a hit with both of our girls. We loved all the character & beautiful details throughout the home. The host was wonderful, touching base with us before our trip as well as ensuring we had accurate check-in information upon arrival.

This adorable cottage was a great fit for my family of four. We loved the cozy atmosphere and everyone enjoyed their own personal space throughout the house. We will definitely be back in the spring so we can check out the surroundings outside!

The entire property was beautiful. We loved the authentic aesthetics of the cottage, the quaintness and the stocked linens were a plus. Having coffee in the morning, especially Folgers, was huge!

Everything was clean and a great mixture of modern and rustic! The inside of the home is beautiful! We would stay there again in a heart beat! Communicating with the owner was always very simple and fast! Highly recommend!

We are in love with this propery, Jon was very quick to answer any questions we had. The property overall was clean, comfortable, and quiet. We enjoyed spending time around the fire pit as a family as well as my husband and I cuddling on the couch with the fireplace going. We overall are very pleased with our stay, we didnt want to leave! If we ever find our way back up this way, we will definitely book again! Thank you for a great experience!

Great communication with the owners. The house was super cozy and loved the old details of the house. The kids had a blast with the fire pit and the outside play activities. The living room was great with the super comfortable couch and fireplace. It rained when we were there and you could hear the rain on the roof which made it great , we don't get that in Vegas. We didnt cook anything but simple things like cereal but it did look like most of amenities were available for cooking expect for us there was no disposable cups so we had to go buy some. There is glassware but nothing really for young kids in case of breakage. The bathroom was fully stocked with towels and shampoo/ body wash. Good water pressure. Lots of blankets available. The kids room was great for my youngest with puzzles and games and toys. Best part was the star lights in the room for bed time. The porch was our favorite hang out area in the mornings. Has a porch swing and rocker chairs with the grill under the porch. My husband would get up earlier then all of us and sit drink coffee and just listen the outside. The only down fall I would say is if your not used to bugs being in the house expect some bugs. Every night we had to kill some type of bug. There was bug spray available in the porch area so it wasnt an huge issue for us. It might have just been the time of the year and we know its a old house too. So that would be my only recommendation for the owner to possibly spray the house more often.

We loved our stay, the cabin looks exactly like the pictures. The den is so comfy and the electric fireplace is great vibes and warms up the room quickly. 10/10 would stay again the owner is also very cool and responds quickly.
