We know, contracts aren't the most exciting part of your getaway, but to keep our home safe, we'll need you to sign a quick rental agreement upon booking (this will be sent to you, after you book) — then it's all fun from there! On Friday, June 20, Pocono Raceway will host a NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series race. The event includes practice and qualifying sessions for the Truck Series, followed by the main race in the evening. The track is located minutes away from Carebear Cabin:)

Nestled by the serene waters of the lake, our cabin offers a breathtaking view that sets the tone for relaxation and tranquility. The surrounding natural beauty and vibrant wildlife add to the charm of this idyllic location. Wake up, brew your morning coffee and enjoy it on our lakeside deck chairs, as nature wakes up around you! Then, enjoy a day on the lake in our kayaks, or load the family up for a day at our lakeside beach at the clubhouse! Then, come back for an afternoon in our cowboy game cabin, and end it with a cook-out with the family around the fire and under the stars. While the inside of this cabin is gorgeous, we have a feeling that you will be spending most of your time outside during your stay at Care Bear Cabin!

COMMUNITY REGISTRATION:
- The cabin is located in the Brier Crest Woods community. All guests are required to be registered with the community before booking.
- All membership fees are included in your reservation, and we take care of handling your registration before your arrival!
- Please note, after you book, we will have additional questions that will need to be answered to complete your registration.
- Each registration includes 10 guests. If you plan to have any individuals over this number, you will need to pay an additional $5 per person. (Note, children under 6 are not included in the guest count.)
- Each registration receives up to 4 vehicle passes. If you plan to have more than 4, it costs $10 per vehicle pass. Upon arrival, you will need to collect your vehicle passes in the mailbox, in front of the cabin, and hang them on your vehicles rearview mirrors.
- There are community wrist bands located at the cabin. These can be used if you plan to use any of the community areas, such as the beach, basketball court, trash dumpster, etc. The wrist bands are reusable and should be left at the cabin when you depart.

- We use LED lighting throughout the home to minimize electricity usage. Thanks to the natural sunshine, you can soak in the sun that floods this home through all of the large windows, without using excessive home lightning during the day!

Just so that you are prepared before your arrival:
1. The community does have some rules for the maintenance and safety of its residents. There is a book with everything listed out for you inside of the home upon arrival. Don't worry, it is nothing crazy :)
2. Swimming: You are not able to access the water directly from the home. You will need to access the water for swimming or fishing from the beach area.
3. Kayaking: All entry of kayaks MUST happen from the boat dock along Elk Dr. You are welcome to enter here- Not at the beach area, only from the boat dock area. (Please note Kayaks are not available Oct 31st through April 30th per community rules)
4. Fishing: If you are going to fish at all you must have a PA state fishing license.
5. To access the Brier Crest amenities you must have a wrist band which we will have inside of the home.
Please Note:
1. We will need to register you as a guest in the community - because of this, we may have some additional questions for you before you arrive.
2. Pet Policy: This property is NOT pet friendly. Please note, if we find evidence of an unauthorized pet in the home, we will ask for it to be removed immediately and guests will be charged a $400 non-refundable fine. This is also grounds for immediate removal of the guests from the home.
3. No Smoking: If any signs of smoking are documented, the renter agrees to pay a $200.00 / per day.
4. Quiet hours for the property are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Please keep the noise levels down over this time.
5. Upon booking, each guest will receive a guest rental agreement. This must be signed before the House Manual (which includes access instructions for the property) is sent.
6. We provide complimentary 24/7 communication to ensure that your stay exceeds your expectations! Please feel free to reach out to us day or night and we will provide you with a swift response!

Everything was perfect, as described, and as nice in person as it looks in the pictures! It would have been nice if we were provided more than a single roll of paper towels, but since that's my only complaint then I can't be upset. Highly recommended.

The home was beautiful and equipped with everything possible to enjoy our stay! Wonderful kitchen! We found the house exactly as described. We were so grateful for the use of bikes/ game room/ fire pit!There were only a few issues with communication- the cleaners were there at check in, which caused some confusion. There was only one Kayak for use instead of the 2 that were advertised. Overall this wasn't a big deal. We did use the 2 person Kayak that came with the house and it was of nice quality (other than the one folding seat was broken on the Kayak. We also found dirty laundry possibly from previous renters. But overall the house appeared clean! We enjoyed all the community amenities as well! Would definitely return!

Overall, the house and location were great for our family. We spent ample hours outside fishing, kayaking, riding bikes, taking walks, and at the beach. The game room was a huge hit with our kids, and it was nice that it was a separate space to let us all have our own space from time to time.The house itself is spacious and the kitchen is stocked with dishes & cooking tools. We used Instacart to order groceries to be delivered shortly after we arrived, which was a game changer. Pay attention to the bedroom details. The primary room is a loft above the main floor, so not a lot of privacy. There's only one TV in the house and it's Roku but doesn't allow you to download any apps to watch your own streaming services. That was disappointing, as we were hoping to be able to watch our Orioles play. We were eventually given a code to attempt to download our local app, but the code didn't work. The listing, and the guidebook that is sent after you book, both indicate that there are kayaks (plural) but there is only one available. Additionally, if you bring your own kayak from home, you won't be able to use it in the community lake, as it has to be registered. When we attempted to register it at the start of our trip, we were told by the community office that only the owner of the house could register boats. Aside from that, we made the most of our time here. Would recommend as long as you know all of the ins and outs.

Great time for all!Swimming, playground, bikes, fishing, kayaking, hiking, ziplining and more. House is nice for family to enjoy each other with fire, s'mores and games.
