Wonderful location and the 3 Queen bedrooms all have views. House allows both togetherness and separateness depending on your mood. Dining table great for meals and games. Very clean except for the windows. Kitchen well-stocked except for decent wine opener and sharp knives (and bring Nespresso pods if you prefer to drip coffee.) Host communicates in timely manner--home access through door combo lock easy. Mermaids everywhere.

Just a couple of issues. No hot water in the master bedroom shower. The toaster didn't work properly but was replaced. No screens on 2 of sliding glass doors. Location is excellent. Lot's of towels. Lot's of kitchen stuff. Some items, ie, spices and such had expired dates, should be replaced or thrown out. Sliding glass doors should be cleaned and serviced. Hard to open and or slide.And a TV in the living room would be nice so everyone could watch together. TVs in each bedroom but no used them.

Comfortable beds. Quality construction Superbly stocked kitchen! Every utensil you need to cook for a group of 7. we could not get the upper oven on the stove to work but that have been us. Lower oven worked fine. Location was gorgeous.

8 adults stayed here recently and we really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful views, a nice clean home and a well stocked kitchen. Had one issue and the host and owner were extremely responsive and fixed the problem right away. I would recommend this home and I hope to stay there again.

Our group of 7 adults had a lovely stay at the Mermaid House. The location is fantastic with a great view and right by the bluff hiking trail.The house was clean and comfortable. Lots of mermaid art and a very bright foam green kitchen. There was one issue with a leaking cistern but the manager responded promptly.The kitchen is very well stocked with cookware, utensils and miscellaneous food items.

My family and I loved staying at this property in Sea Ranch! We’ve been to Sea Ranch a few times and this was our favorite property; it had gorgeous views of the water from every bedroom and the main room / kitchen. The house had such whimsical charm with the mermaid/ocean theme throughout. The kitchen was well-stocked and also close to the nearby Gualala supermarket. We loved staying here and would love to come back.

The house has a great location and view. Beads are comfortable. Maintenance was not great, in that several blinds were broken, and sliding glass doors did not work well.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mermaid House. The host was very responsive to pre-stay questions and with tips during stay. The kitchen and bathrooms were modern, clean, and well-furnished. We took advantage of the easy access to the trails along the coastline, as well as the pool and sauna at the community rec center. We brought our groceries with us, so once we arrived, we only used the car once to go to Gualala for a few supplies, and otherwise had all we needed at the house. One note for those new to Sea Ranch - the drive leading into Sea Ranch from the south winds with a lot of curves, so those with motion sickness issues should prepare accordingly.

I've stayed in many Sea Ranch homes and each has its own unique flavor. The Mermaid house lives up to its name and we found it quite charming. The owners definitely went all in on the theme, and while it kitschy, it's fun and quite well appointed.

This is a wonderful house with fabulous ambiance and an unobstructed ocean view with access to the bluff trail right outside your door. It has four bedrooms, all nicely appointed. The kitchen has every appliance and tool you would ever want or need. Will definitely stay here again.

Had a wonderful time. Very well stocked house and loved the close proximity and easy access to walking path and closeness of ocean view. Cute mermaid decor and driftwood art. There were two issues: difficulty with moving and opening the sliding glass doors and the screen on one of the sliding screen doors is torn leaving a hole.

Took my three college age kids to home for hiking , reading and game playing. Wonderful home. We gathered and had the best time. Lots of laughter. The home was well stocked and comfortable. Beautiful views and easy access to beach path. Loved the time. I had to contact property management and they returned call immediately and resolved issue. Thank you so much.

This comfortable house is literally steps away from the trail bordering the ocean cliffs. The very well-equipped kitchen suited our crew of cooks, and we loved being able to walk to the Rec Center.

The Mermaid House is wonderful. It looks out over the Pacific, steps from the Bluff Trail, but feels entirely private, and the only sounds we heard were the ocean and the birds. It is particularly comfortable and well-stocked as well; feels more like someone's house than a rental. The kitchen has every appliance one might want on a vacation, plenty of dishware and glasses, and even lots of food basics (olive oil, spices, etc). Bathrooms have toiletries and plenty of t.p., towels, etc. The beds are very comfortable--the mattresses are the kind in which you don't feel your sleeping partner's movements. We'd love to go back. Only caveat: one must like the color aqua!

Our lodging was large, well-equipped and comfortable. The best part was the incredible views and the path right outside the back door that went for miles and afforded the most magical outlooks. Sea Ranch holds a special place in my heart. Two nights was not enough. The drive here, the last hour, is not for the faint of heart. Steep and windy and there was road construction. Not meant for those who get carsick or are afraid of heights. Also, it appears that construction is about to begin one house over from this vrbo so might be good to inquire as the peacefulness could be affected.

This property is fantastic! The location could not be any better due to it being ocean front with unobstructed views. Step out onto the numerous decks or simply open up the many sliding glass doors and hear the ocean waves against the rocks. Paradise!

Great stay! Very relaxing. We were there with friends and it was perfect. Lovely home right on the ocean with a beautiful path right by the sea. Loved the place and would highly recommend it.

The Mermaid has an excellent sea side location with the really big plus of being walking distance from the Del Mar pool and tennis courts. The kitchen is well designed and well equipped and the bathrooms are ultra-modern. It would be a great house for a weekend trip for adult friends or groups. As a week stay for families, not so much. While having 4 bedrooms, the layout and furnishings are too close, overstuffed and relaxed to interact as a family group. The living room is small, dark (even after we replaced 3 burned-out bulbs) and the seating is laid back to the point of being horizontal. We didn't find it conducive for puzzling, playing games or just talking. The bedrooms had closets, but lacked drawers, so we never really unpacked. And so many pillows--where to put them all? We've stayed in five different Sea Ranch homes over the years, all with different layouts, designs and amenities. I guess the Mermaid House just wasn't our cup of tea.

This was the perfect spot for a girls getaway. I really wish we could have stayed longer. The ocean sounds, the beautiful view, the access to walking trails and the property itself made the weekend so memorable. The house was clean, exactly as pictured, there were plenty of towels and linens, TONS of cookware, utensils, paper towels, garbage bags, etc. I can't think of a single thing we needed that they didn't have (ok, one of the ladies mentioned that there wasn't any cinnamon in the spice cabinet, and she hoped there would be because she neglected to bring it, but that's seriously it ... this house was VERY well equipped). It was all amazing and we had a fabulous time. I can't say too many good things about the house. We loved it!

The Mermaid House was a great place to stay. The house was immaculate when we arrived and is located just steps from the bluff trail. We spotted a number of whales from the deck and lots of seals as well. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the house was the most well equipped home we’ve ever stayed at (and we’ve stayed at a lot of Sea Ranch properties). While the mermaid theme was whimsical, it could be toned down a bit, but it certainly did not turn us off enough not to return!

The property is spacious and clean. The only suggestion I would have for the owner/cleaners would be to provide a working set of kitchen knives and tissues is all of the bathrooms. The Mermaid theme is wonderful!

We had a great time staying here. The house is very well equipped, nicely updated, comfy beds, and has great views. Also, the mermaid theme is fun and unique. We would definitely stay here again!
