Holly Cottage, Hidden gem in the Yorkshire wolds

Beautiful cottage. Very well set up and thought through. We loved the little touches. The chargers, the record player, the Alexa Everything was there to make our stay comfortable

Was such a lovely cottage, there was a welcome pack -loaf of bread 6 eggs and a pint of milk, bottled water in all bedrooms, very nice touch especially the bottle of wine 😊

The bed were too small in master bedroom

We liked the Hot tub BBQ The location The size of the property All the amenties

The neighbours were too close

Beautiful cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay in a peaceful setting close to a lovely village pub.

Being told the day before arrival that dogs are not allowed upstairs - fully respect any property owners decisions around any aspect of how their property is used/accessed etc but would have liked to have been told this upon booking when we were asked if we were bringing a dog and told how much the charge for this was, so that we could make the decision for ourselves if this property would suit our needs. Also one of the rules in the 14 page rule book was that dogs were not to toilet in the garden - again would prefer this to be transparent upon booking. I did reach out to hosts after our stay to feed this back and they were very amenable so hopefully any new bookings bringing dogs will be given this information earlier. We did also have someone slam the downstairs bedroom window shut from the outside a couple of times which was odd & a little unnerving. We kept it shut after that and no further issues, hosts were apologetic and looking into why this might be so hopefully a one off.
