Surprise birthday stay

The location felt so rural, yet close to amenities and lots of places not too far away. I chose this location for my husband's 40th birthday as a surprise and we all had a lovely time. We didn't arrive on the correct day due to having car issues which was a real shame. Plum cottage was gorgeous, super homely and comfortable beds for sleeping. Would highly recommend.

Nothing to dislike apart from the app to order extras is very sketchy and doesn't always work. Making it tricky to order things easily.

Lovely, vintage boutique property. Really fun stay.

The property is totally unique and really interesting. All rooms are different and so clean and tidy. We actually used the cottage as a short stop over as we were working nearby but we wish we stayed longer to enjoy everything it had to offer. Lovely, quirky place, ideal for a family or couple to enjoy. Would love to return.

Beautiful cosy cottage with everything you need. Perfect for a dog as a big garden and easy access for our old Labrador. A gorgeous gift shop with lovely cosmetic spa goodies and all the staff lovely. A real treat.

A lovely relaxed weekend break!!

We absolutely loved the whole property! We booked the spa which was amazing and so relaxing! We also purchased the breakfast and afternoon tea hampers! To be honest we though the breakfast hamper was expensive but it lasted us both days we was there and we even had to take some stuff home with us so it was definitely worth the money! With the afternoon hamper we got loads of little gifts and it was lovely! Everything was amazing and the beds were so comfy! It has such a lovely home feeling with loads of pillows and blankets!

We didn’t dislike anything about the property or our stay! Any problems we did have like not having the WiFi password all I had to do was send a message and got the password! But I can’t think of anything negative about this property or my stay!

Quirky cottage with lots of character. Really enjoyed our one night stay and will definitely book again when in the area.

Light in one bedroom didn't work, however there were lamps so this wasn't a problem for us :)

A gem of a place. It really lives up to its name but be prepared to pay a £200 damages deposit.

It was perfect for our party of four (a girls get together) a quirky, cosy cottage with everything you need. We also booked the axe throwing activity which was fantastic.

Take your own towels, the towels provided are more like linen throws. I also didn’t realise I would have to pay a £200 deposit when filling in the online check in - you cannot proceed without paying it. It was fine and all repaid when we checked out. But there are notices and signs all over the cottage ( eg let us do the washing up £30 , a snack tray with full price list ) I understand why the notices are there but they made me paranoid and really put me on edge as the proprietor held my £200 and could draw on it as they felt fit. It was all fine and refunded but it did dampen my experience a little bit. My guests however were oblivious and thoroughly enjoyed their stay 🥰

Lovely Rural Cottage

It was an overnight stop over for us as we were going to a couple of events in the area so didn't spend much time at the property but it is lovely place and would love to return for a longer stay. Beds were really comfy. The place was well equipped and clean. Great Communication from the hosts. We'd definitely return in the future.

Cosy stay - loved the spa & big walled garden!

Really cosy stay. Loved the spa in the evening and had a tasty breakfast basket in the morning. The walled garden is beautiful and large - our dog Bennie was very happy, and the beds were very comfortable. Loved how all the details were thought of (and appreciated the natural cosmetic testers). I stayed for a work trip, but will be back to enjoy for longer with family. Really welcoming hosts!

I loved the cottage, so pretty and practical too. Lovely hot water and bath!

The combination of personal contact with ‘Em which was delightful and the necessity for a message from Booking.com to give the key box code seemed to create difficulties. ‘Em couldn’t have been more helpful and charming but our journey was somewhat spoiled by the worry about not having yet received the code. When I have booked a cottage in the past, and I’ve done it frequently, I’ve never had this problem.

Disaster.

I cannot comment as I didn't get to stay at the accommodation. A prerequisite of your stay requires you to complete their online security form I was unable to do this as there was a technical issue with the site.

BEWARE After you book and pay for this accommodation, you are then required to complete a security online form... this is a prerequisite of your stay and is mandatory, intrusive and unreliable. First you have to - Pay via bank card a deposit if £150 Provide personal photographic evidence of ID Sign a rental agreement If you manage to do that...and I couldn't...due to a technical issue with the site...you then need to adhere to the house rules which are.... You must vacate the property by 11am sharpe otherwise you will be charged the cost of another nights stay. Pick up any dog poo or risk a £50 charge Wash up all dishes or risk a £17.50 charge Empty all bins...ect ect ect. They are very strict. I did travel to the property, but as there was no-one around and no direct phone number to contact, I couldn't access my holiday home, I was so frustrated I just drove the 60 miles back home. They never answer their emails and their contact number is for Spain!
