Enjoyable stop in a hotel a short walk from the station.
Lovely staff, nice breakfast, modern bar, decent sized room and with some nice pubs across the road.

The hotel was excellent value..staff were welcoming.
Bathroom could have had place for toilet bag, & ? On how througher the cleaning as there were a selection of cards bon tge floor under the table..but otherwise the room was clean.

Great location for the town centre with only a 15 minute walk in. Staff were lovely and friendly. The room, although basic, had everything we needed and was quite comfortable. Breakfast was okay without being amazing. Good shower.
The noise on Tuesday nights is ridiculous. It’s quiz night and the sound system/microphone blares out from 8pm until 10:45pm. Our room was directly above the bar and the toilets, and we could hear the hand dryer every few minutes until the place closed at 11pm. We knew it was a working pub, so we expected some noise, but not quite like that.
It’s also very tired in places and could do with a lick of paint here and there. Our room was also very dusty in places, (particularly down the side of the bed), and the WiFi was patchy dependant on where you stood.
Cooked breakfast options are limited with only 3 options on the menu. The ingredients weren’t exactly top quality either.
