About this cottage rental
This was the first building constructed at Sítio Nossa Paz, more than 40 years ago, to house the farm’s caretakers. Recently, some minor renovations were made to improve the house’s functionality, but it remains simple, with its rustic charm, a porch offering a beautiful view of the mountains and the Extrema Valley, and plenty of nature all around.
In recent years, the Casinha Azul has hosted friends who wanted to come live on the farm with us, and this is the first time we’re renting it out through this platform. We’re making sure it remains a cozy and inviting space, despite its rustic charm.
If you’re looking for conventional accommodations, comfort, and luxury, this certainly isn’t the ideal place for you. But if you’re looking for a place where simplicity is valued, where you can unplug and enjoy nature, this could be a great opportunity!
The house has 3 small bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen with a dining table and a balcony, a garden, a fire pit area, and a laundry area (no washing machine).
Sítio Nossa Paz is located in the Mantiqueira Mountains, just 2 hours from the city of São Paulo. The property spans 100 hectares with extensive reforested areas, araucaria trees planted throughout over the past 40 years, agroforestry areas, a blueberry plantation, a lake, a waterfall, and abundant wildlife (a puma was recently spotted on the property—but don’t be alarmed; they don’t attack people).
Ana and Simon won’t be available to welcome you, but the caretakers’ family who look after the farm will fill that role and are available for any needs you may have. Here, we don’t welcome you as guests or customers, but as friends and visitors. We want to share the lifestyle we’ve embraced while living here for the past 10 years and this wonderful land that has been home to Ana’s family for four decades!
Our greatest joy is knowing that visitors return home rejuvenated by nature, feeling lighter, at peace, and healthier. It will be a pleasure to share this peaceful space with you!
