About this house rental

Just steps to the sand! This one-bedroom cottage is just one block from the beach and 1/2 block from the bay. Centrally located and family friendly with many cafes and restaurants within walking distance.

Great Mission Beach neighborhood. Surf and swim friendly.

Uncrowded sandy bottom beach break straight out front. Rent a board around the corner or sign up for surf lessons across the street. Paddle board on the bay or explore Mission Beach on a bike.

Your beach oasis awaits. With air conditioning and a fully equipped kitchen where you can cook your favorite meals or mix a fun cocktail to enjoy while relaxing on the cozy patio.

The bedroom has a Queen bed. There is a daybed in the living area that doubles as a twin bed sleeping space and the couch for a relaxing night in watching TV.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. There is Uverse TV so you won't miss your favorite show, and Netflix if you just want to relax and watch a movie.

The boardwalk is just steps away. There are lots of great local restaurants, a juice bar and coffee shops to enjoy and be sure to check out happy hour at one of nearby watering holes. Hang with the locals in this laid-back beach community.

There is not a parking space with the home. There is street parking (please note signs for street sweeping).

Property is very cozy. Some amenities could be updated/ replaced, especially the kitchen knives, silverware, etc. no pizza cutter. Bedroom is very warm as the AC unit is in the living room. Location is very convenient. We would probably stay again for the price.

The parking was the only challenge we faced on our vacation. There are limited spots, but once you find one, keep it. Other than that this was the best San Diego visit me and my wife have ever had, it’s a perfect central spot, with all kinds of restaurants and coffee/breakfast places within a short walking distance. The spot was a perfect size for a couple and the couch was soooooo comfy, great spot to come back to and relax after being at the beach all day. Will definitely come back.

To start, the host is amazing and great to communicate with. Second, the home is wonderful and very clean, finally, location was perfect since we love the beach. We got to experience the San Diego life style.

This was an awesome little spot with easy access to both the bay and the beach just a block away on either side. The host was very communicative and helpful. If you bring a car be sure to plan your parking because mission beach street parking can be competitive but there’s some great public lots a block or two away if you’re okay with a bit of a walk. Overall it was the perfect place to celebrate mine and my partner’s anniversary. So much fun stuff to do within walking distance! Thanks for the great stay!

It was centrally located for everything we did. Also, our favorite brekfast place, Olive Baking Co was only like 50 steps from our place. Close to beach and 20 walk to great gelato!

We loved the area amenities and location to the bay and beach. However, the parking was very inconvenient. We had to keep moving our car and got a ticket for parking in a free public parking. Host was great...very responsive with communication.

Had a nice stay for 3 nights. Super quick walk to the Bay or Beach. Parked in the lot of off Santa Clara without any problems. Few minor things the cottage could use but wasn’t a big deal. Host communication was awesome! I would definitely stay here again. 💙

This was the perfect little beach getaway bungalow. Super close to the beach and the bay and lots of restaurants as well. It’s small and quaint but very clean, we felt safe and we didn’t need anything bigger as we were out and about most the trip. We initially couldn’t find parking after we unloaded but realized we could park at the Santa Clara rec center and it worked out perfect.

It was a joy to wake up every morning and take a walk on the beach and or the Board Walk‼️ My husband and I would come back to our rental and make coffee and breakfast and eat it out on the cute little patio, very private. It was the perfect place for a couple to stay!!!

This property while okay, is in a horrible location with lots of issues. The inside is dark with not enough lighting, patio is non existant and area is unsafe with unsavory people. Would not recommed this unit. Property management was very helpful in finding us a new location.

Really enjoyed our stay here. My husband and I met our college age son in San Diego for a long weekend. Easy walk to the beach, the lagoon, lots of restaurants and funky shops. Parking is a bit challenging but could find an overnight spot down at the lagoon side. Very cozy but comfortable. Very responsive host for questions.

It's a funky little beach bungalow, super comfy and clean. Hard to find a better spot for me, great food, coffee, bars, beach all within 100 yds. You can spend a whole weekend without leaving this little section of Mission beach.

What a great place to stay! We had a blast in this place. It's small, but fit us perfectly and we had everything we needed. At first parking was a concern, but having arrived on 7/4, it was super busy and we found street parking easy during the rest of our stay. Walking distance to the beach, shopping, dining, and entertainment.

Place was decent for the money, but the lack of parking and having to park many blocks away is a huge negative. The security light at the shack across the alley from the bedroom window is defective, so there is a strobe effect all night long that kept us awake. We ended up hanging blankets over the curtains to lessen it. The homeless ruckus in the alley was kept at bay by the neighbor, thankfully, running them and drunkards off throughout the night. Overall, I may stay again if I were there for a beach vacation or whatever, but for me needing sleep and a washer/dryer for working all week, this was not ideal.

The property was just as described & we enjoyed it very much. Location was great, short walk to the beach or the bay. Great food choices within walking distance. Defiantly recommend the coffee shop, Saltwater Culture, not even a 30 second walk from the bungalow. The small outdoor table and chairs were perfect for our breakfast & coffee. For those, like me, who enjoy a cool breeze during the nights, the ceiling in the bedroom works great. The AC unit kept us perfectly cool in the afternoon when it got a bit warm outside. Got to meet one of the neighbors, very friendly and gave some good tips for local exploring. Only recommendations; more coffee pods for the Keurig (for those of us who drink LOTS of coffee LOL) & menus or info for some local favorite coffee shops and food places.

Perfect location in Mission Beach! The neighbors are great to chat with. It's right across from an incredible little local bar. Super easy to uber to any location in the city you would want to go. The house is a perfect size for two people. We loved it.

My fiancé and I decided to take a last minute vacation to MB, & Molly was very responsive from the beginning, she was very welcoming to us and our dog, & the neighbors to the cottage are all locals and very helpful. The location is prime, & parking wasn't too difficult since our stay was during the week. It was very close to the bay & ocean side, so we had the best of both worlds. She was very attentive & we will definitely be booking with her again. We will also recommend to others!

We really enjoyed our stay. Clean little place tucked away by great shops, beach rentals nearby by and a block from the beach - always able to find a spot on the beach! Great neighborhood and easy to get around with bikes/scooters etc. Molly was very responsive and the neighbor guys were super friendly and helpful. It’s nothing fancy but had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable.

Had a nice stay, only thing I thought was odd was having to wash colored linens, without any laundry soap provided or laundry card, the laundry cost 3.50..however bed was comfortable and appreciated the a/c and the fan above the bed. I'd definitely stay again!

Molly was responsive and everything was clean and in perfect order upon arrival. The location, being only a block from the beach was perfect. Access to stores and restaurants also very convenient. Parking in this area is a real issue, so a car isn't recommended - you'll never wait more than a couple minutes for Lyft and Uber. Stove hood vent (i.e., microwave/vent) vents inside, so cooking anything that smokes ever so slightly will set off the fire alarm in the bedroom. This did curb our cooking plans and I'm guessing this has been a problem since the fire alarm in main living area was missing. Encountered a rare heat wave, so AC and portable fan to circulate air was very appreciated. Electronic lock, eliminating need to carry a key, was great. Neighbors were very friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!
