The Funky Monkey Hostel - 18 to 40 years old only

The staff were all so kind and comforting. Was a truely amazing experience we felt so looked after . Such fun as well as really good value for money , lovely freebies too and great hangout spots. Special mention for the receptionist who made such an effort to make everyone feel safe and welcome . Even noticing when certain people hadn't come in after a night out.

Only downside was the bath rooms are washroom style which was more of a personal preference but was still super clean and all worked well

This hostel was amazing! It was the absolute perfect location, especially for the full moon party, and close to anything you could need. The hosts were the best and they offered so many things for free, better service than we had in a hotel! We connected with other travelers and had a great time.

Had a great time here during Full Moon. Julius is the best and makes sure everyone has a great time. Super fun and social. Location is excellent. Will definitely be coming back.

The owner was nice and welcoming and check-in was easy. It was a quieter period during my stay, so the atmosphere may be different at other times.

Stayed here for two nights and woke up with around 15 bites after the first night, mostly on my legs, arms, and hips. I had been in Phuket for about five days before arriving and had zero bites, so this started after staying here. The bites looked very consistent with bed bug bites, so I recommend the property check the mattress and bedding carefully as something in the room did not seem right. The location was not very convenient during my stay because the Full Moon period was not on, so the area felt quite empty. The setup of the bathroom was also unusual, with the shower attached to the toilet and no real separation, and the toilet/shower area connected directly to the dorm with only a curtain dividing it, which did not feel very clean or private. The room was also very dark, and even around 9am it was hard to tell it was daylight outside, which made it easy to oversleep. There was not much atmosphere or schedule during my stay, so overall the vibe felt quite bland.
