TIKI HOSTEL

Tiki hostel was an amazing place to stay for the full moon party. Excellent location just a few minutes away from the party and surrounded by restaurants and shops; extremely clean (I have never see hostel toilets so well maintained); they provided cold water, coffee, tea, and snacks for free; and were very accommodating, allowing for late check outs the day after the party! Friendly staff, too. Not a social hostel with activities, but nice and quiet and met friendly people to go out with. My only regret was not being able to try the restaurant downstairs that was also part of the property because it looked good!

Lockers are quite small and the rooms are all connected, so if you’re in the first room like I was, people will be coming in and out. Neither were too big of an issue for me, though.

It was close to everything but also you could not hear whats happening on the street, room was very spacious with big bed which is a plus, also you could not feel movement of the other person in bunk bed which was a big plus because I am a light sleeper, would come back again! Great touch to a room for a woman is a small spot with mirror and hair dryer and different amenities where you can get ready for a night out. Owner she was amazing ready to help with anything I needed, also with her boyfriend they helped me with my bag up the stairs. Thank you

Bed was not soft but i would not mind that.

The place is much better than it looks in the app’s pictures. It exceeded the expectations I had after reading some other guests’ reviews. The bathroom is very decent, even if it’s not luxurious. You have crackers, coffee, and cold water available for free all day, and the staff is more than friendly. The environment is also friendly and it´s easy to meet people if you´re solo traveler.

We booked for full moon party. Originally had booked the mixed 16 person dorm, because it was all that was left, however upon arrival, the front desk arranged for the girls to stay in the private 8-person dorm, and made it all female which was super sweet and kind, that way we had our own space. Also had complimentary water and snacks!

Shower is outside. Toilet is outside with no light. No curtains on top bunks. Was staying in an all female dorm, and yet, a guest brought back a male visitor at 4am. While the hostel states there is monetary “penalties” against visitors, when brought up to staff, nothing was done. Very small lockers, probably only fit, a purse (a tiny one).
