The location was great. The apartment is 74 steps up to the door…the windows do eliminate any street noises. The bed was super comfy, the sofa not so much. The washer was helpful, although a drying rack would have also been great. Entry procedures were easy…great natural light… small but spacious at same time.

The apartment is ideally located on the third floor (staircase) 250 meters from the Uffizi Gallery and Ponte Vecchio, and 80 meters from Piazza della Signora. We traveled by car (small car) and parked our car 300 meters away in a garage behind the Palazzo Vecchio.

What is very challenging for one's peace and quiet is the lack of soundproofing from the apartment above us. The residents often came back late in the evening, walked back and forth in their shoes for a long time, and rearranged the room (probably to sleep). The same thing happened again very early in the morning. The soft mattresses in the bedroom and the worn-out sofa bed in the living room are not ideal. With only a very small square table in the living area for eating, it would not have been feasible for us, even as just two adults, without the rollable side table, as we like to cook and serve our own meals. The ceiling lighting is uninvitingly bright. The kitchen is well equipped technically. We had to clean the pots and pans separately before we could use them. There was no ladle for sauces and there were only small glasses. The apartment's electrical system is difficult at times because, as in our case, several air conditioners for heating, kitchen appliances such as kettles, or ovens cannot be used at the same time. Otherwise, as happened almost daily in our case, the fuse blows and has to be reset in the hallway outside the apartment. An instruction manual for the various air conditioning units would be helpful. We obtained them from the internet. Despite the air conditioner, we were unable to control the humidity in the bathroom. The towels were usually still slightly damp the next day. On the day of arrival, the card needed to switch on the electricity in the apartment via a corresponding slot was missing. We informed the caretaker by phone and managed to plug in our own credit card. The promised replacement card was not delivered arrive during our five-day stay.
