We stayed three nights in this Airbnb in Grasse. First of all, a big thank you to the owners – they are very friendly, always available on WhatsApp, and even called us to recommend places to eat and visit. The apartment was clean, tidy, and well equipped, which we really appreciated.
That said, there are important things future guests should know. The listing requires a minimum booking of three nights, which feels exaggerated, especially since Grasse itself does not offer much to do unless you use it as a base to travel around. For many visitors, one or two nights would be enough.
The description says it is “5 minutes to the old town,” which is misleading. By car it may be possible, but walking takes at least 25 minutes – entirely uphill. This is something that really should be corrected in the listing. The apartment is in a residential complex with only a small view of other houses. The photos on Airbnb look larger than reality, likely due to wide-angle photography. The bedroom has no window, which makes it feel quite congested in hot weather.
Arrival and check-in also felt like an escape-room challenge: after a long trip you first need to pick up the key from a mailbox, then open and park in a very tight underground garage, switch buildings and floors, find the right entrance, and finally reach the apartment. The instructions are clear in the PDF, but for a first-time guest it is still unnecessarily complicated.
Another small improvement would be to provide kitchen basics such as salt, since the apartment is advertised for self-catering. Information about the swimming pool was missing, and we only discovered it ourselves. Four wristbands were provided for access, but no directions were given.

For short stays of 1–2 nights, this Airbnb works fine, but for longer stays the location and setup are less comfortable.
