About this cottage rental

Elkhorn in Southwold, Suffolk sleeps nine guests in five bedrooms.

Situated just a short stroll from Southwold's beach, pier and bustling town centre, Elkhorn is a spacious Victorian townhouse offering the perfect setting for family holidays, celebrations and coastal escapes with friends. Combining characterful period features with contemporary comforts, this beautiful seaside home provides generous living space across three floors for up to nine guests.

At the heart of the house is a large open-plan kitchen and breakfast room, fully equipped with everything needed for a self-catering stay, including a double oven, gas hob, dishwasher and ample dining space for relaxed family meals. For larger gatherings, the separate dining room offers a wonderful setting for long, sociable dinners around the table.

With two separate living areas, there's plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The ground-floor lounge is bright and welcoming, with sea and lighthouse glimpses from the bay window, while the first-floor sitting room enjoys beautiful views towards the sea and lighthouse, along with French doors opening onto a balcony. Whether you're gathering together for a film night or seeking a quieter place to unwind, both spaces offer comfortable seating and a relaxing atmosphere.

Outside, the enclosed rear courtyard provides a private spot to enjoy Suffolk's sunshine, morning coffee, or al fresco dining after a day spent exploring the coast.

The five bedrooms are thoughtfully arranged across the upper floors and offer flexible accommodation for families and groups. Guests can choose from a king-size bedroom, two double bedrooms, a twin room and a single bedroom. The three bathrooms are conveniently located on the ground and first floors, including a ground-floor shower room, a spacious family bathroom with bath and overhead shower, and a Jack and Jill shower room connecting to one of the bedrooms.
